    yes, it was the 90s...

Ever since the sports thread wars I have sensed a special connection between [edit] & Wile. Like the connection oil has to water. I almost can't speak of it. Wait....my eyes are misting. ~asq

My sister has that song. My sister is into the retro thing so she has alot of classic songs.

Mine would probably be Innocent Child by Arcana or Sanctuary by Hikaru Utada.

ETA: (or...)Ain't Afraid to Die by Dir en Grey
    Last Secret Garden by Gackt
Kyomu No Naka De Yuugi by Malice Mizer
    Garnet by DespairsRay
and lots more. I realize I am probably going to have a gothic wedding considering I hate pastels and lovey-doveyness.

I've been divorced for over 18 years now, so this would be my wedding song.

    From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."

For my last dance with my daddy it was "It's so hard to say goodbye" by Boyz // Men. For my first dance with my husband it was "Music Box" by Mariah Carey picked by me for him and "Liberian Girl" by Michael Jackson picked by him for me. For everyone else dancing it was "All My life" by K-Ci and Jo-Jo (I know, overdone, but it had a lot of meaning to us) and "Turn your lights down low" by Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill.

We had a hard time choosing. We had picked "Broken Road" By Rascal Flatts, then I heard "A Kiss to Build a Dream On" By Louis Armstrong and then I finally picked "Love Me Tender" none other than Elvis. I think we made an excellent choice.

We didn't have a song. Hubby doesn't dance unless intoxicated and badgered, so we went with an entirely different sort of party sans dancing.

We don't have "a song" at all. We have a bunch we like together and about each other and that works for us.

PS - my wedding also didn't have a theme, or colors, or a rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, or a photographer, and to me, it was the most beautiful, romantic and FUN wedding I've ever attended. I laughed more than I cried, even during the actual ceremony.

Sinatra's "I get a kick out of you" - DH used to be quite fond of the drink, but when he met me and knew he wanted to be with me, he realized he'd have to grow up and quit partying so much.

we also danced to Sinatra's "The best is yet to come."

my dad and I danced to Willy Nelson's "On the road again," mostly because my dad and I have both traveled a lot - him for work, me for school. DH and his mom didn't dance because she has MS, but she was there and that's what mattered more.
