*sigh* No, I haven't heard anything yet. Being such a huge company, I seriously doubt that they would write me back, and if they do I'll be flabbergasted. All I can do is keep watching the labels and hoping they listen! So far, so good - in my area, at least. Of course, the more curlies that write in, the more likely they will take our advice...
If you want to write them but don't know what to say, feel free to use or change parts of my letter to them! I just want a couple hundred emails to flood in about it, and hopefully that should make them sit up and take notice.

Here in Maine, I have yet to see this reformulated. There is however a "new" nutri gloss with silicone and the bottle is pink BUT it isn't the same pink and its for fine hair I believe.

ETA: Just read through this and thought I would mention that my Target had all three versions: two with the a-cone (or one that had a peg-cone, can't remember. my sis has it upstairs so I'll double-check later), and the one without 'cones. There wasn't anything about them disappearing and I don't even think they were on sale.

Del2C: If you're looking for "damp waves" try Komaza coconut hair milk. I've been experimenting with Komaza products, after reading FrizzBGone's rave review of the Komaza pudding. The milk makes my hair very shiny and moisturized. The top three ingredients are a palm oil derivative, coconut milk, and coconut oil. I'm giving up on it because I prefer curls to waves, and my curls collapse into waves when I use this...but boy are they gorgeous waves...
It's very moisturizing - you don't need a leave-in with it, but might like a light gel on top for hold.
Komaza customer care is great - you can order $5 samples of their products and pay just $5 S&H (in the US). Just give them a call...

For those of you looking for the L'oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss conditioner- there are two pink bottles that look identical. The difference is that one says L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner for Medium to Long Hair that's Damaged- this is the one that contains Amodimethicone.
The other one is the L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner, For Medium To Long Hair That's Curly/Wavy- this is the one you need to get since it does not contain Amodimethicone.
Hope this helps.

melaniesusan-I'm going to PM you so as not to go TOTALLY off topic here. I will say this though, if the coconut pudding turns your curls into waves then wouldn't it make my hair LESS wavy??? I'm not sure that it would help to enhance my waves???

But as my actual rinse out conditiner, it doesn't do the trick. I need something thicker/more moisturizing. I get too much frizz and less curl when I use this as my conditioner.
But I will def. keep it as a cowash...I've been using it once a week in place of V05 just to mix it up and it's been good...

Well, after reading through the rest of this thread, everyone's great results made me want to try it again. I did an overnight DT with JCWDT, this morning I washed my hair, then applied a blob of the LVNG. I have to say, this stuff is AWESOME at getting out my tangles:toothy8: (my hair is horribly tangle prone). Up until now, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink] is the only product that works to get my tangles out and even then I have to work it in for several minutes before I can get my comb through. The LVPNG works even better and faster for me. Anyway, I rinsed it out very, very well since my hair can be weird about oils. Followed up with a very diluted ACV rinse, rinsed that out then styled with HE mousse and HESMU gel and air dried.
My hair looks great! Feels soft but not too soft that it's poofy, shiny and very curly. :blob8: The fact that I'm not overly soft and poofy is great considering I did an overnight DT which that itself usually leaves my curls overly soft the next day. I think using the SMU for extra hold also helped.
I sure hope it continues to work, because I'm really loving the results I got today.
I don't know how it will work if I use it several days in a row but I might be able to rotate it in several times a week in place of the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink] to save myself some $$.

So, I washed with a good shampoo to get all the gunk out (I did the Neutrogena shampoo, and I had to wash THREE times to feel like I got all the crap out of my hair!) Then I did the Nutri Gloss conditioner- in the right formulation!- and I even put a drop of honey in there... I am desperate for quick help!
I too am in LOVE!! I haven't had the rat's nest at the nape of my neck. It is softer than ever. SO COOL.
I just have some questions... if you do a cowash, do you put your regular conditioner on afterwards? Or is the regular co for after you do a "shampoo"? I am so confused.
But, I DO love this conditioner!!!:blob7::blob7:

LVPNG is what we call a rinse out conditioner. It gets used after your co-wash, which is a necessary step in a CG routine. Read this blog post of mine, it's long but it should give you some info that you'll need to go CG

I'm new to this but I did read the Curly Girl book recently. I don't think she ever suggested we need to use multiple conditioners. I understood her advice to be this-- wash your scalp with fingers and condish, rinse thoroughly, then re-apply a little condish to leave in, if needed. I'm not sure why so many people here use one for co-wash, another for rinse out (and why that's needed after a co-wash I'm not sure) and another for leave-in. I guess that'd be maximum conditioning, maybe?
Good Luck

My hair doesn't need a lot of extra moisture right now. When I cowash I don't use another conditioner in my hair. In between cowashes, I use a heavier conditioner to detangle and condition my hair.
Hope that makes it clear as mud?

I bought the wrong LVPNG, pink bottle but has amodimethicone, tried it once and disliked it. I'll have to pull my reading glasses out next time. :book:
