So your dad was pretty excited huh? Is she the his only grandchild ?
No, he has four others by birth and one through marriage. But, she was/is (still don't know how to call that) the first one. He can't have too many I guess!
He was so funny though. I'm just thankful that no one seems to be holding any long term bitterness.

That is great! Please meet her and let her know that you love her. That is really important.
I can't imagine how it must have felt to see her after so long. Best wishes to all of you.
No silicones/no sulfates since March 2008
I remember you mentioning the adoption in a thread a while back. I'm so glad you finally got to meet her, and that it was fun and everyone had a good time.
Thanks so much for sharing the story and picture. I'm glad you finally found each other, and I wish you years of happiness.
And she really looks like you!
No, it was NOT me who cried 'wee wee wee wee wee' all the way home.
What a pretty girl
I think you missed a few posts. They already met.
Congrats! I'm glad the meeting went as you had hoped!

I am so happy that it went well.
Her parents sound like great people.
I think she looks just like you-beautiful!

Thank you so much for sharing that with us.
You guys should write a book or something.
Goodness, I've felt happy and giggly all day.
I wish I was a writer so I could express everything that is going on in my head!

Funny, my daughter said that we should make a Lifetime movie, lol.

hee! That's totally what I was thinking!
I was sitting here thinking how I wish I was a fly on the wall. and then I thought.. dammit, I wish it was a movie so I could watch it!
We were talking about wondering where each other was. I brought up a thought about how I wondered, "What if she needs a bone marrow transplant or a kidney?" She and her mother laughed at this, because she would bring up the exact same line to her mother.
Luckily, neither of us needed bone marrow or a kidney...

Maybe you could still write something down, just to capture a little bit of what you're feeling.
If we are all so excited for you, I can't imagine how you must feel.
