Stringlets
in Hair Type 2
I've found products that I'm liking, but I still can't get rid of the stringlets - stringy ringlets, uncooked ramen noodles, I'm sure you gals know what I mean.
I'm finger combing in the shower and that's it. As soon as I start squeezing and scrunching the water out, the clumps start to get smaller and smaller?
How, oh how, to attain the ever elusive clumpage?

Plop. Then create curls by twisting sections of hair around your finger. The larger the sections, the larger the clumps. Don't go too large or the curls will be too loose and may fall out. Then I let air dry until my hair is kind of stiff, then I gently diffuse.

I showered at 1:00 in the morning last night, went to bed with it wet and without any product in it, pulled into a pineapple. This a.m. I sprayed it down with water, used Tresemme bouncing curls and Hask spray it curly, didn't do a lot of scrunching, and then plopped. Unplopped, scrunched the crown, sprayed on some finishing spray, then clipped it and diffused the rest. It's looking pretty good. It isn't overly crunchy, the ends are stuck together instead of fanning out because I didn't scrunch after drying, and I have some lift and wave in the canopy.
Here I am having a good hair day and I'm stuck at home working.

We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names and each is a different color. But they all have to learn how to live in the same box. ~Anonymous

I have been buying products left and right. Some work sometimes and other times they don't...guess it depends on the day?
Anyway, this is what I did today and I have bigger clumps than I am used to--in shower, finger combed with condish in, rinsed out. Add [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curly-Hair-Solutions-Curl-Keeper-p-28.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curly-hair-solutions-curl-keeper]curl keeper[/buylink]--rake it through hair (not combing). Then I added Loreal out of bed and raked that through hair. Started scrunching, then added Biotera gel, scrunched more (then scrunched with a mf towel) and then diffused. Let air dry the rest of the way and scrunched out the crunch. I am actually pretty happy with my hair today.
Not sure if I will ever get it so it is not crazy frizzy but I am trying really hard! Hope this helped!

Keep in mind this just improves my clumps, which were nonexistent before so it might not be much of an improvement for others.
Using: Testing new stuff

Oh...my separates like you say, but in big clumps. Of course the clumps get a bit smaller as I style, but I have the best clumps with that routine. At least so far...maybe tomorrow I will try without the loob, and with Jessicurl RR and CC then gel...hummm....
