Having Volume / Body vs Defintion

I starting to prefer to have a combination of body and definition. I like my hair when it's puffy with some definition. I'm finding that my hair is naturally this way. Since I'm pretty sure my hair is naturally this way I'm going to stay with it and not worry about getting more definition.

Anyone like their hair puffy defined?

I like my hair like that. My hair is fine and maybe medium-low density, so when it's really defined it looks too thin. Fluffing up the curls and waves makes it seem fuller. Plus, like you said, I think my hair is naturally more fluffy than defined, so it's easier to achieve than really defined curls. But I still can't seem to get enough body and volume, even with the fluffier curls. I have a hair cut scheduled for later in the month, maybe that'll help.

I def prefer puffy definition but even that's hard for me to achieve since I'm low density.

I prefer fluffy. Defined makes my hair too thin plus the gel cast makes my hair bend weirdly. So I break up the cast before/during diffusing for volume. Works wonders.

Yes, I like my hair a bit poofy. I will rarely opt for superdefined waves, because as others point out, that means I look like I have hardly any hair!

I guess I prefer definition, but largely because volume isn't an issue with me. (My hairdresser cuts my hair to reduce some volume.) I'm not sure why I have good volume - I have fine hair, and while I'm not low density, I am losing hair, and have to work to prevent shedding (so not really high density.)

I think improving the condition of my hair with henna treatment (actually for coloring my hair) and oil treatment did help me have some volume, as well as minimizing frizz. Its been a while, but before I started henna, I was having some issues with high frizz, low volume, and to a lesser degree with curl formation. It wasn't too bad though.

I prefer a fluffy defined look. My hair is high density and never looks ridiculously flat but it does seem limp and lifeless when it's really defined. Also after years of heat damage my curl pattern is weak and there are inconsistencies which are way more apparent the more defined my curls are.

My hair is between medium to high density but closer to high and also never looks flat. Interesting like you if I try to force yo define it, it doesn't look natural to me. If it's puffy / fluffy my hair will still have some definition.

Just woke up, checked out my hair and fluffed it out. My hair is pretty voluminous with some definition and it will stay that way. Looking back when I started CG I tried to force definition and didn't get consistent results. I get consistent results when I let my hair go into it's natural / puffy state.

Here's a pic. I just woke up fluffed my hair out. Maybe a light spritz to refresh. My hair feels somewhat hydrated. My hair is fluffy / poofy / defined.

This is my hair after I lightly refreshed...
