Second Day Hair TWA

Hello All!
About six months ago I cut my hair off. It had been a little past shoulder length. I've wore my hair natural for some years now but before I cut it off, I wasn't taking care of it. I bleached my hair three times and you can imagine the damage that my hair went through. When it was longer I would pineapple but now I have a tapered twa. At first this wasn't an issue with second day hair because I basically buzzed the sides and back and left a little on top.
Now my hair has grown in some and I don't want to wash my hair everyday but is that inevitable? Has anyway had second day hair with a twa?
