Should I straighten before I dye

I have to touch up my roots. Last time I did it I didn't and it didn't go so well. So should I straighten my hair and then touch up mu roots?

    Nope don't do that.

    Get someone else to do your roots for you.

    Even a reasonably dexterous child will be able to do it. I use to help my mum do her roots.

    No because it'll have product in it and won't take as well. Maybe do a braid out? Or wait a few months because with curly hair you can get away with a touch up every other month.
