furnace pilot light...

i just got home from 5 days away to find my pilot light out and the house temp down in the 40sF/12C.

:(

i cannot figure out how to reset this thing - has anyone done it before????

    Do you know if its lit with a flame or electrical?

    If its a flame, there are a few ways to restart it (a breeze may have blown it out), if its electrical though, you'll have to get a pro.

    it was crazy windy here yesterday, i suspect that's when it happened...

    i gave in and called Reliance - and said tomorrow morning would be fine because it costs $150 for them to come out at night.

    :(

    at least i have 2 months of hydro rebates that can go to pay for this!

    If you're up to relighting it yourself, there should be lots of articles on Google. Personally though, I'd just hunker down and wait for the pros in the a.m :lol:

    Glad to hear it.

    Sometimes relighting things can be a bit tricky. I'm glad you got some help. I'm always nervous that I'll blow something up.

    +1 So glad you have heat now, Rou. I would be afraid of blowing something up also, but I live in an apt. so don't have that problem.
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
    I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....
