I'm in! Even though I'm barely curly these days. I just hacked off all my hair. :blob7:

I'm in! I was so new for the last gathering and actually scared to come. This time, I can't wait to see you all in person!

I live in Arlington but can go anywhere in the area - whatever works best for everyone!

No need to be scared! We don't bite! Everyone is great, so you'll be just fine. :)

And "T", you CUT YOUR HAIR?! When? I'm so late. LOL!

Deedles, I don't mind doing VA. But I figured DC was a central location for most folks, but if we can think of locations that are metro accessible in the VA, that's fine.

K, I was having a Halle Berry moment. 8-) (I was really sick of hair.)

I'm looking forward to our get-together!

How does November 7th sound for everyone?

Still undecided about location, but I remember everyone mentioning at the last one that maybe we could look to do something a little later in the evening.

Sorry I haven't been over here to update anything. I've been sorta swamped with school.

Going to pick a location before the end of the week(one that has a more diverse menu ( ;) @ Deedles), and hopefully everyone will still be in!

Hi, I am a newbie to the curly world but I have been natural since 2007. I would love to join. I live in MD but work in DC and originally from VA, so I can do any place.

Is Reston Town Center metro accessible?

Totally in if we can go there!
Not Cindy or Sindy or Syndey or any other such abomination.
    It's Sydney, like Australia.

LikeAustralia, it's sorta accessible, but would require many to have to catch the bus and then walk a quarter of a mile to get there.

Trying to pick a location that's pretty central for everyone, so it'll likely be D.C. again.

I'm still having a hard time picking a location that would accommodate a good amount of people, and has a good array of food. I'll hopefully have something concrete by the end of this coming week.

Potentials include Clyde's of Gallery-Place(next to the Verizon Center) and Lauriol Plaze(near Dupont Circle).

If you can think of other good metro-accessible locations, post here. I may look over the list of places from last spring too.

Not sure you can make reservations at Busboys. It would literally be first come, first serve, so seating wouldn't be guaranteed. But if that's a more ideal location, I'm fine with that. :) Actually, that was one of my first choices the last time.

All those in favor of Busboys, speak now!

Busboys works for me---but which one? There are several now. One is by the NPR building, the other one is on 14th & V. And then there's one in VA, I think.

They all have back rooms, which we might be able to reserve.

LOL! You can check up on that, D. I'm thinking the 14th & V location since I believe it's a bigger than the other two.

We have 9 that say they're in, but I know that we had around 17 last time, and many of them showed unexpectedly since some were unsure if they'd make it. So we'd need to maybe over-estimate to be on the safe side, and can then just modify our reservations as needed.

all are welcome.... Hey guys I just went to the "Busboys and Poets" website and it would seem that the "Room" in the back cost to rent.. and its crazy for money! so I think that's out.

We can still have it there or choose some other location.
