Lightening hair without coloring?

hello!
I was just wondering if anyone knew of some ways to lighten hair without coloring it...

I heard someone mention something about lemon juice but I am not sure....
Hair Type: 3b /3a?.... medium texture, normal porosity:afro:

Conditioner:
Aussie Moist


Shampoo: Organix Shampoo

Other products: Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam Mousse, LA looks Sport gel, & whatever is cheapest for a frizz serum.

    Ground cinnamon will lighten your hair. Add 1 part conditioner to 1 part cinnamon. You can leave it on over night if you want to. It isn't super dramatic, may take a few applications. If you Google this technique, some ppl can explain it a little better than me.

    wow these posts are all so helpful.
    I just bought some honey at rite aid.
    I didn't realize cinnamon could also help with this.

    I just hope my roommate doesnt see the honey bear in my shower tote. She already thinks I am crazy with all my 'cg method' talk. lol.

    I was able to lighten my hair by using chamomile tea and the sun. I made about a cup of very strong chamomile tea (I used the loose leaves not tea bags) let is cool a bit, put it in my hair and then went out into the sun until it dried.
