I purchased yesterday and was flipping through, and it had a section on celebrity bad hair style choices. There's a picture of Parker Posey wearing her neck length hair in curls. Tight little coily ringlets. The caption said something along the lines of borrowing her hair from a poodle. Then there was an "Improvement" picture of her wearing her hair blown out straight with little flips at the end.

Now, I admit the curls weren't flattering on her with her hair at that length, but to compare it to poodle fur? Absolutely not! The curls themselves were smooth, shiney and very natural looking. No frizz, frazzle or poofiness.

Why, WHY, must curls always be referred to a dog's fur? That's just insulting.

Just once I'd like to see them say, "So-and-so's droopy straight hair looks like a collie that got stuck in the rain!" and then suggest curls or waves as an improvement. (I hope this doesn't negate what I said in the "What's wrong with straight hair" thread...)

Well...there WAS some celeb that had this fried, straight hair that they compared to a scarecrow. But her "Improvement" picture STILL showed her with straight hair...not a big different in the condition either!
