Is there such a thing as a CG-safe heat protectant?

I wear my hair natural w/ just gel most days, but on the weekends I like to either straighten my hair or make my wavy hair curly with a curling iron or hot rollers. I don't want to use something with cones, but I figure that's what all heat protectants have isn't it?

I'm only modified CG though, I'll use cones that I can get out with just CO washing/sulfate free shampoo washing. I just don't use sulfates except once a month.

How is this ingredients-wise? it gets raves at makeupalley.. Vo5 Miracle Mist:

Water Aqua , Glycerin , Amodimethicone , PEG-12 Dimethicone , PVP , Propylene Glycol , Hydrolyzed Silk , Tocopheryl Acetate , Niacinamide , Biotin , Panthenol , Ascorbic Acid , Polysorbate 20 , Cetrimonium Chloride , Trideceth-12 , Cetylpyridinium Chloride , Benzophenone-4 , Triethanolamine , Disodium EDTA , DMDM Hydantoin , Fragrance Parfum

I know amodimethicone is water soluble.. and then if PEG comes before dimethicone it makes it easier to get out too right? How about benzophenone-4?

thanks for any suggestions!
