Hey Ladies, since this has been my #1 issue for so long, I think it would be great to post any methods or tips on combating dryness.

High porousity hair tends to be dry=
*ACV rises can help*

All an ACV is good for is closing the hair cuticles and making them lay flat.

If you shampoo then ACV rise, you strip ur hair then close the cuticle, so your hair will end up dry.

+it will be even more dry if you have low porousity hair.

If your hair is Highly porous, like mine, it is suggested you do a final diluted ACV final rise, i.e. after conditioner to close the cutile & lock in moisture.

If you use shampoo bars, it is suggested you do an acv rise right after, because the ph of the shampoo bar leaves your cuticle wide open, making it easy to damage the hair.

If your hair is really dry Co-wash with no-cone/very low cone conditioners, but skip the Sauve & Vo5, try things like:
    Trader Joes N&S
    Yes to Cucumbers
    Yes to Tomatoes
    Aura Cherry Almond Bark
    GVP Conditioning Balm
    GVP Detangler
    Aubery Orangics Honey Suckle Rose

    *Pre-pooing/ pre-cowashing

if your hair is porous or extra dry, try the spritz & condition method for co-washing.
Spritz your hair lightly damp with water, apply conditioner, put your hair in a pony, and let the conditioner absorb for at least 20min. Then hop in the shower and rise it out.

*Moisture friendly stylers, if your looking for curl definition or just hold:

Afroveda Curl define, Afroveda pur whipped gelly

100% Aloe vera gel works great for hold also

Kinky curly curling custard, ( It give me a jericurl too curly look but lots of people on this site like it)

*For maintaing moisture, Seal your ends
some use oils, I like coconut or vatika oil
    some use creams:
    Afroveda Cocolatte Mositure
    Qhemet Biologic Burdockroot butter cream

or you can mix up some raw shea butter with oils, google whipped shea butter recipes, or sheaAloe

    oil sclap message
take a long narrow tip dye applicator bottle
combine your fav oil(grape seed/coconut/ect.), tea tree oil, and aloe vera gel. applied to dry spots and rub it it.

Tea tree hair cleaners- shampoo or shampoo bar, help with itchy sclap

    **DEEP Conditioners**

    AOHSR
Amla powder + warm coconut milk
    yogurt+coconut oil

**I'm protien senstive, these are light and well balanced

    Products w/ Glycerin

If u live in a dry area, stay away from products with glycerin & any humectant in general (i.e. honey, ect.)
If the air is dry they suck the mositure from you hair,
    into the air.

I hope this can help any curlies battling dry hair, I wish I would have know this stuff a long time ago,it would have save me lots of tears & money :O)
