Hair Vitamins?

CurlyKinkCurlyKink Posts: 6Registered Users
Hi I just came back after a crazy year of surgery and hospital stays. I had all but given up on my hair, but then i went to my old stylist and she hooked it up. She did however suggest, that since I'm on so much medication, I should get on some supplements for the hair and scalp. Do you ladies have any recommendations for me? Thanks!

A lot of people on this site are getting good results from prenatal vitamins. Some people are using flax seed oil as well.

I visited the website Heather identified a while ago. It's a great site and got me started on a great routine .

    I take:

Rainbow Light 1 a day Multivitamin (all natural vitamins are the best, google it)

1000 mg of Flaxseed oil (gel caps)

    2500 mcg Biotin

    That's it :0)

Make sure you drink tons of water with the biotin. I've seen other ladies taking MSM with good results as well. Like I said on another board, I can already see positive results from the biotin...not in the hair on my head yet, but my nails are stronger and my skin has a new glow :D

Good to hear you are back from the hospital!
I Want to take vitamins too. A lot of people take the GNC brand called Ultra Nourishair. I was looking at the website and was wondering if anybody knew the difference between the mens hair formula and the womens?
The mens has more biotin and comes with twice as many tablets.

I thought about buying vitamins like a biotin and MSM separately like that but I was worried the price would add up. Its not too expensive to do that is it?

I take Country Life Maxi-Hair and 1000mg of MSM. But some supplements great for the hair are biotin, msm, evening primrose oil, and flax oil. There are others also but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
