What salons give best hair trims for 4a hair in new york, baltimore and dc

I am beyond frustrated with my hair. I trim it on my own but lately im noticing split ends. a lot of them. im doing search and destroys which i know will result in uneven hair but i am reluctant to go to a stylist because they tend to cut off more than a trim and i know they wouldnt pay attention with the amount of detail necessary to get each split hair (they are leveling at different areas on my hair).

anyway. in case i ever get the courage to trim my hair professionally, what are some salons good for 4a hair in the baltimore, dc, and new york areas.

I just wish my hair grew. then i wouldnt be afraid of cutting.

I have 3c/4a hair and love Jeff at Self Salon in Brooklyn. He practices the Deva method; has been for 4 years. I've had my hair cut at all the top curly salons in NY (Ouidad, Devachan) and by the top stylists (Christo of Christo 5th Ave, when he was was at Ouidad. Carlos when he was at Devachan and Mario Diab) and Jeff is by far the best and nicest. He's also the lowest priced.
