SpiralSolutions Rock!!

I already posted this on the Product Reviews board but wanted to mention it here, too. These products are awesome!! I tried some of runnerchicki's SpiralSolutions products today. I washed with No-Poo, then used the SS Protein Treatment, left in for about 10 minutes, rinsed & followed with SS Decadent Moisture conditoner. Rinsed out and applied CJCA LI, added a little more water and scrunched in a mixture of SS Curl Jelly & the SS Firm Hold Gel. Scrunched out excess water with CLU towel, diffused for 10 minutes and air dried rest of the way. I LOVE these products!! My curl started springing up before I even started diffusing!! :blob4: This stuff rocks!! Way to go, runnerchicki!!

I read one too many good reviews of the protein treatment today. I just ordered it. Sigh, why do I bother telling myself I won't get the products that are being recommended?

Even though I am really happy with my new CJ stuff, and I still have to try the 3 KC products I got, and I ordered BB's gelee and brulee this week, I really have wanted to try the protein treatment and condish from SS. However, the two times I've gone there, stuff is sold out.

Kinda frustrating, but I understand it's a growing, new enterprise.

    Ah, well. Someday. :)

I need to try the protein treatment when she gets it back in stock. I did try the jelly today and really liked it. I'm gonna try a different combo of products tomorrow to see if I can combat the frizz I had. It's really humid and rainy here, so no wonder I had some halo frizz.

Do you know if she's considering going full scale with her company?? Obviously it's an investment and you need the capital to do it, but clearly we'd all buy her stuff!

Do you mean manufacturing?? I really don't know, but that's more then an investment--it's REALLY expensive. First you have to work with a lab to get the product recipe right for mega batches; then you have to manufacture in HUGE quantities; after which you have to find a reliable shipper, who charges you by the box and the bottle.

One of the reasons [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] had such issues when they went into Whole Foods is that she needed a lot of upfront money to produce product at that quantity.

Personally, I think Runner is doing really well for a "store" that's only been open for two weeks. I know no one means to criticize and understands. Think of LLL and their 30 day shipping policy. Or the trials and tribulations of Donna Marie getting products off the ground and now manufactured.

    Sorry to guano.

I know she takes this VERY seriously and has spent a lot of time developing her products. She's given a lot of thoughtful consideration as to going about this--but that's as much as I know.

I don't know about Marsha. When I first joined nc.com a little over two years ago, I bought CJ from CurlMart. I want to say her website started about 12/08--but could be wrong. Here's the link to her story on the CJ website: /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.curljunkie.com%2Faboutus.asp" class="Popup

ETA: I was wrong. Marsha had her website all along. There was a time that she did wholesale, but it was available again to all of us in 12/08.

I have great admiration for any lady (or guy) with the energy, devotion, and creativity to start a homemade product like this. It's gotta be tough, cause you want to do right by your product and consumers, but you also gotta like, ya know, work, sleep, pay your rent/mortgage and eat. :)

I'm willing to wait and see. I am always on the lookout for good to great products, and I trust other curlies who start cause they want THEIR hair to look better more than some great big money-making manufacturing machine.

I know eventually I'll get to try these goodies, just like I'm gonna be trying Botticelli B's goodies. :D

I also find the mixture of the jelly and firm hold gel more forgiving than the BRHG. I have to be really careful how much BRHG I use or it's bad news, but not so with the SS.

Ditto. Although I have to be careful when I use FSG that the gel isn't too hard holding or I can't SOTC very well and can end up stringy (but BRHG can make me stringy anyway if I'm not careful..as MsG notes it is not a forgiving product sometimes LOL)

I haven't used FSG for a couple months..reminds me to go make some!!! I have a big container of seamollient sitting around as well!

I just used all the SS stuff in one go :) I decided to not dry my hair 100% dry like I usually do.

I used the DT with heat, then rinsed out. Used a TINY bit of the PT as a leave in, scrunched in CEJ and the FHG. My original complaint about the FHG was that it took too long to dry, but I decided to not try and dry it 90% with the diffuser and I was rewarded! I have nice volume and really well defined wurlies!

I don't use DT's very often, because I usually can't tell a difference in my hair afterward. SS DT leaves my hair so smooth but NOT weighed down. its very unique! It leaves me with some body too. I am just so happy to have found a line that I can actually order more than one or two things from hah!

Not only that, I think part of the success with this line is that she formulates without glycerin in her stylers. I'm really starting to think that makes a big difference due to the high dews I have to deal with most of the year.

I agree. Today was another amazing day. I did something I almost never do--same products 3 days in a row (almost).

Yesterday I used my Deva One C and Low Poo but everything else was the same. Today I decided I would be 100% Spiral solutions.

I used the Low Poo (still have a tiny sample of that left from the original trials..LOVE it!) then used the Protein as a rinse out (using only a nickel sized) but left in for about 6 minutes--followed by a small dime sized amount of the DT. Used the protein again as a leave in and then CEJ and FHG.

FABULOUS AGAIN! Got some hair compliments as well! Looks smooth and shiny. Great curls! :flower::flower::flower::flower:

When she restocks I'm buying another one (at least) of everything!!!
