what would your friends...

wavy wonderwavy wonder Posts: 3,061Registered Users
think of you spending a lot of your time(or any time at all) on a hair board site? and that you (or me) post pictures of good hair days? and that you have a foki of good hair days? My husband is immune to it and doesn't even blink when i take 1000 pictures of my hair, but omg what would me friends think? what would yours? my friends know i'm nuts, maybe not this nuts though.:dontknow:

My friends know. In fact, this weekend I was showing one of them a slideshow of my bathroom reno and several hair pics were mixed in.

Oh she said what did they think of your hair - that one looks really good.

DBF, of course, doesn't even look up when the camera comes out.

My son thinks I'm insane. :tongue3:

Honestly, I'm more embarassed to tell people I'm a gamer than a picture whore. ;)

My husband still thinks i'm a bit nuts, lol. He takes my pictures, and I always get some comment each time I ask him!

My friends.. not so sure. Not that I have too many friends since moving out here! But those I do have would probably think I'm a tad crazy and have too much time on my hands (for the amount of time I spend on here)... which I do!

I have one friend (well, a girlfriend of a friend) who has beautiful 3b hair. She asked about my hair once and I of course launched into a 10 minute explanation of CG and these forums.. then my husband mentioned the pictures/notes I take about my hair. I think she definitely thinks i'm a bit unhinged now :D

My mum can't believe the change in my hair, however, so I can ramble on to her about it all quite happily!

If they have curly hair they would understand! My husband acyually understands quite well, he even tells me when my hair is frizzy or don't look well-that might not be good.

My husband never sees me take pictures of my hair because I normally take them at work in my office. For the longest time he didn't even know I got on this site (he works nights couple of days a week when I am normally on here). He just knew I was trying new things on my hair and wearing it naturally. If I would get a package in the mail he would say "Let me guess...more hair stuff?"

If my friends knew how often I was on here I don't think they would be that surprised. They know I get easily obsessed. That is my major flaw (in my humble opinion :tongue3:). I obsess about everything: my weight, my hair, doing renovations, etc. Once I get my mind set on something, oh lord...I want it, and I want it quick. I pretty much don't shut up about it.

My BF and brother think I'm crazy, but just laugh at me - well my brother actually tries to tell me he has more right to be on here - his hair has more curls then mine atm. (I'm trying to convert him - he hates washing his hair. )

I mentioned this site to my curly head friend, but not sure she's had a look. Really dunno what they'd think if they knew all the things I got up to... ky on hair anyone?
I know some other friends were amazed at how much I knew about hair and wanted me to help find them products, haha!I'm having fun, so who cares?

So far I've told everyone because I'm so excited. My New Years resolution was to take better care of my hair and solve it's mysteries on why it sucks! Well now that I've stumbled into the CG world I'm all about sharing and telling and sending my Curly friends and co-workers to the website!

My BF just shakes his head and laughs to himself, but he knows it's for the greater good! (he wants my to grown my hair out really long too and he appreciates my pretty hair)

The ladies at work and I have spent hours talking about this new site and listening to me go on and on about all this neat information. LOL. I'm a nutter and I'm proud of it!

Last night when i was obsessing over my hair (and getting it cut) hubs said why don't you tell your dr at your next appointment about your hair obsession. He was dead serious. He thinks it's wrong and i'm the only one who is obsessed.

Me: so yeah, what can you do to help me?
therapist: ummm, you need to stop visiting this website.

And me!! It is TOTALLY my personality!

I tend to get in to something like 5000%..whereas the "normal" population seems to be able to just casually indulge..not me.

This is why I never gamble and I rarely drink. I have always known my predisposition to having this personality type :)

Before the whole hair thing I was obsessed with video games...I mean I found them in 2007 and from then until the hair thing in July of 2009 I was nutto for them..collected many, traded in tons, etc...I know the Gamestop staff, Managers and District Managers by NAME.

My close friends know I belong to a curly hair board but I don't get into the semantics. Most people I tell do think I'm crazy.

My husband has gotten used to me talking about NC. At first he did think it was weird that I kept taking pics of my hair. Now he sort of understands because he belonged to a softball board awhile back and was always talking about it.
