Goodbye Curl Keeper, Hello Curl Fix

Not really goodbye but CK has been defeated as the reigning champion of hair products in my arsenal!

The gauntlet was thrown down and CF rose to the challenge. Defeating CK, the undisputed champion, in less 5 uses. I know I've been staunchest supporter of CK and I suspect I'll continue to love me some in the summer but for now the lovin' feeling goes to CF.

Curl Fix is my HG!

I have used it as a protein treatment wrapped in a towel under my hard hat for 15 min. Followed by Curl Theory, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle-p-995.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle]CIAB[/buylink] and the gel du jour. Fabulous even curls, tons of bounce!

I have used it a multi-day styling product. Spritz hair, then mixed in CF with a little gel then smooth and scrunch. Lots of curl, minimum frizz and great body.

But my absolute favourite use is as a leave-in. Usual wash, rinse out, yada, yada, yada then a couple palm-sized blobs of CF, rake it in, a couple palm sized blobs of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle-p-995.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle]CIAB[/buylink] and a couple pea sized blobs of gel scrunched in. I get summer hair in the winter! More body, more even curl and just overall FABULOSITY!!!

Here's a pic and excuse the face .. I think there was wine involved. :confused5:

Ahhh so I see you've now made it official  I'm seriously starting to wonder if my hair wouldn't freak from the protein in this. I seem to be able to tolerate proteins more lately for some odd reason.

Congratulations WHC on your new HG! :blob: Summer hair in the Winter who woulda thought?

Thank you. You are making me want to try this but if I recall you do not get the low dewpoints I can get (thus your success with CK year round) so I am still debating on hitting that 'buy' button.

    btw-always love the 'wine' face.

I think my dews are lower but my humidity is consistently higher. Although humidity isn't supposed to be a factor, I'm sure that's why I can use CK year round.

You should see if you can get a sample. I can't believe how quickly this became a LOVE for me. And you have fine hair too so I'm sure your hair loves protein.

I would say given how it thickens me up and curls me up, that it has more protein than the average protein product. But I suppose it wouldn't go to waste anyway as you could use it on your daughter. :)

And thank you - nice having a little bit of summer in the cold winter. :D

This is very tempting! Your wine face pic is beautiful!LOL. I love [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle-p-995.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle]CIAB[/buylink] and wonder if this will kick it up another notch. Aloe leaf juice is high on the ingredient list which is the only thing I am debating. I wonder whether the aloe leaf juice will give me the same result as aloe gel, such as FOTE. My hair had a hissy fit when I used it. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for the wondferful compliments everyone :D

angel: if my hair looked anything like your avi I`d be in heaven!

Okay, I tried CF as a leave in -- it was a no go, I repeat a no go.

Oh well, at least I can say I gave it a good college try. I really think there is something in my water that reacts badly with an ingredient in the CF. I used a ton of CJ stuff very successfully in GA (gave me great hair I might add) but that does not work down here. So, it has to be weather or water. The BC leave in is stillLLLllll one of my faves though :)

I also love CK! It is my HG in dews over 60 (320+ days out of the year in Florida).
So yesterday, I tried this. I usually use about 3 quarter size palmfuls of CK. I only used about half of that amount of CF b/c I was afraid it would weigh me down (baby fine texture).
Wow...it was fantastic for me! Bouncy defined curls, full of body and so light! A bit of surface frizz, but since it did not weigh me down at all, maybe a bit more is all I need.
Dews are over 60 tomorrow, so I am going to test again, using bit more CF.
2C-3A, baby fine, normal elasticity + porosity.
    Central Florida.
Conditioner: CJBC, DevaCurl One, JC Aloeba
Leave in: CJ BC, CJ CF
Stylers: CK (only with dews over 60)
Curl Creme: Gel-les'c, CJ CiaB, Mop C
Gel: Goddess Glaze, HESMU, DC Angel

    For Low Dews:
conditioner:Califia Care Condit mixed with KCNT
    Curl Creme: Komaza Coconut Pudding

Weekly: low poo, Nexus Emergencee and wdt (CJ CF or CJ HBDF )

I swear Marsha makes me sick!!!

I used half the bottle of my curl fix tonight! I washed with the cj gentle shampoo, deep conditioned with the curl fix, rinsed that out then used the beauticurls daily conditioner, and as a leave in used a bit more of the curl fix along with some beauticurls, all over on the dryer areas and only on the ends on the rest of my hair. Put some [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle-p-995.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle]curls in a bottle[/buylink] on top and then put a bit of olive oil ecostyler over that.

THEN I used little puddles of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle-p-995.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curls-in-a-Bottle]CIAB[/buylink] mixed with a dab of ecostyler and scrunched that into my ends. Diffused, and I even have what you ladies say *root curl*!!! My ends are curled up, heck even the coarser parts of my hair have tight little curls! I need more of that curl fix though, wish it came in a bigger bottle!

    I feel the same way!

Products tend to last a very long time for me even a litre of my beloved CK lasted almost a year. But I'm seeing I'm going to go through this stuff like mad. I've used about 1/6 of the bottle and only done my hair 4 or 5 times. Highly unusual for me ... it must be :love4:
