Yeah, i'm getting by. I fell down our stairs yesterday (wood floor). It was a nasty fall. I went to the ER because i thought I broke bones. But nope, no bones broke (thank god) just a bad sprain.
I have pain meds, so life really is good:tongue: and hubs is waiting on me hand and foot. Not without a grumble though:scratch:

Funny story about stairs - one evening, my husband was grumping about taking out the garbage so I decided to do it myself. We had had a big rainstorm that evening and our front steps were slick from the rain. I slipped and fell and severly sprained my ankle (the ER Dr said it wouldn't have hurt as bad if I had just broken it instead). But now I don't have to take out the garbage anymore.

I hope you feel better soon! Enjoy those paid meds!

ha ha! i thought i wouldn't have to clean anymore since that is what I was doing prior to hurting myself, umm, yeah, NO, I don't think that is going to happen:evil1:

I think i will indulge myself tonight with some meds. My foot seems to hurt more today than two days ago. Boo! and it's blasting cold here. My feet will NOT warm up.

BUT did you have a glamorous bruise like me?;)
  • MSQueenMSQueen Posts: 19Registered Users
Oh my gosh yes, like instantaneous bruising! And even tho I sprained my ankle, I had bruising down to my toes, it was bizarre! Even after 2 children, I don't think I ever truly knew pain till that happened, tore 2 ligaments and had to have physical therapy and ALL of it over having to take the garbage out!!!

I used k-pak:) it's good stuff but has mineral oil in it and some people don't like it (build-up) but if you lo poo shouldn't be a problem.
and yeah,I've been trying to move around a lot... probably more than i should. I wont this dang foot to heal. I need to get back to exercising again:(

argh wavy! that's a nasty bruise. Thank goodness you didn't break anything, but as in msqueen's experience sprains can be just as awful as breaks sometimes. I hope the bruising is going down and you're getting better.

well why shouldn't your hair be pampered? I bet you've been doing a lot of sitting with your ankle raised.

    take care of yourself.
