my 15yo son is growing his hair past the really short hair length i have always made him have. it is now proving to be the curly (but not all over bizarrely) mop i thought it would be!

how can i encourage his curls as they are only at the ends and the shorter bits around his face? the tops of his head is curl free! his hair is about 4-5" long.

I would say def. CG routine. I've helped my own son's hair be less dry with it. I have been using a lavender/almond oil spray, which works great with the dryness.

But I'm going to change the lavendar out now because of my concerns about lavender creating too many "female" hormones in boys.

here's a NY Times article about it...
