Anyone see the movie Tsotsi?

I saw it in Blockbuster the past few weeks and decided to rent it this week. It's a South African film. It won the best foreign language film for 2005. No offense but I'm so sick of the same typical white American TV and movies. I like watching foreign films to get other perspectives and ways of life. It's a shame that most Americans only get a limited view of the world. I wish there was a world tv channel to show movies and shows from around the world. If you don't normally watch foreign movies you should check some out.

yep, i really enjoyed it. i really liked the fact that it didn't flow like a typical american film. i made a friend who really only likes movies where there are fast cars, things blowing up or gun battles  watch it. even he liked this film.

    TOTALLY AGREE!

My husband was getting a catalog of some sort with movies from all over the world, and a lot of them looked really good. I wish I could remember the name of it, and if I find it I'll post it here.

I liked "Salaam Bombay" a lot.

As soon as I get home, I'll ask my husband. I'll try to get it before the end of the day today!
