Seeking Inspiration from hair that isn't like yours

is it a bad thing to look at fellow curlies who's hair is nothing like yours for inspiration? although I have 4a/b hair i tend to look at women with 3c mixed with 4a hair as inspiration to keep me pushing. i'm starting to wonder if this is a reflection of not accepting my own texture and lusting after someone else's. i admit i am highly disappointed in my own but what's the sense in looking at something that i might not be able to attain? i'm feeling very depressed since my last big chop btw.

I know how you feel. I felt the same way, I was soo disappointed after my bc that I thought about putting in a relaxer right away. And it didn't help that my hair hated most of the products I was told to try. Now though I am getting the hand of styling it and getting a look I am happy with.
My advice, Keep experimenting, you might be suprised by what produts your hair like. Btw there are pics of some fab styled 4b hair here, you just have to keep searching

My inspirations are a mixed bag, mostly 4a's, 2-3 4b's and some 3c's. However for product, I'll go any type as long as she's curly and what she is doing makes sense to me.
