Am i a 3b or 3c? (pics)

My hair has nice curls on the top and the back, but i have this subconcious compulsive habit of twirling my hair around my finger. I twirl on the sides of my head...the edges, therefore my edges dont have the nice curl parttern like i have on the rest of my head...

anyways...sorry for rambling on...i just want to know for sure what type of hair i have. i think i have 3b/3c but i need to know for sure...also, what type of products work best for my hair type?

All answers are appreciated =) happy holidays

    Hi, morenitamami!

I think your classification is right on. I looks like a 3b/3c to me. Your curls are gorgeous, by the way!:compress:

You look like a 3b/3c mix right now, but I would really suggest figuring out how porous your hair is, its density and its texture, because thoes are really going to help you figure out what your hair needs, more so the going on your curl pattern alone.

For example I have med/fine texture & thin density, but very porous dry hair, so my hair needs heaviver products typically used by 4a curlies. Just some food for though :O) Good Luck!!

My hair strand itself is very thin...i remember when i was in school me and two friends each pulled a strand of hair out and compared them, and mine was so tiny compared to theirs...my hair sucks moisture up but it seems like it doesnt hold onto it very well, so i started using a lemon juice/water mix spritz on my hair after i apply moisture bc i hear that lays the hair shaft ridges down..its been working so far...

The end of last weekend i was noticing my hair getting frizzier and frizzer...then i began my reasearching on this site lol i determined i needed a protein treatment and i made one out of 2 eggs and mayo and my hair LOVED it! the hair that was messed up on the sides of my head from twirling clumped together with others and forming beautiful little ringlets...

I think im starting to learn what my hair likes and doesnt like...im so happy i have you guys on NC to give the invaluble info ive learned from you =)
