Hi, I just joined. I am 52 years old and have very curly hair that looks dry and frizzy if I am not careful. I have been trying to just use conditioner most of the time and that helps. I had a hysterectomy in May and now I am loosing way too much hair. I have been doing research on massaging emu oil with some essential oils into the scalp and leaving it on overnight and then shampooing it out in the morning. I am still in the research stage though.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

nour6128, hello and welcome. I'm a boomer too - just turned 53. There are many oils that are very nourishing for the hair that are not derived from animals -- avocado, jojoba, coconut, shea oil, extra virgin olive oil, sweet almont oil -- many more.

    Check out this site:

I was browsing through it and has lots of great descriptions and large selection of oils.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
