Best gel?

My hair is super thick, so I cant use mousse. So I guess gel is the way to go. So which one do yall prefer? & My hair is really frizzy so any suggestions would help. =]
Top layer- 2a, tight sprial curls around ears, 3a-3b over all. =] VERY thick.

People like Suave Anti-Frizz, Herbal Essences Set Me Up and Totally Twisted, and Dep and LA Sports. These have fairly strong hold but probably won't be too crunchy for your hair.

Ok, thanks =] How much gel should I put in? Does to much make it frizzy?

If I have use too much gel, it just makes my hair crunchier, and I just scrunch out the crunch. You'll figure out how much gel is best for your hair :-). CG girls who get lots of frizzies are usually using too much conditioner. HTH

Suave Anti-Frizz I use 2 quarter sized blobs. For HE SMU I use two nickle sized blobs.

so far I've had good luck with BRHG=biosilk rock hard gelee (use a tiny amount, too much = big crunch!) and deva curl angell (use a small cupped palmful) . other gels I think would work for me and want to try (and I am looking for frizz control like you, as well as good curl definition/formation and hold) are aussie tizz no frizz, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/DevaCare-Arc-AnGell-p-567.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=devacurl-devacare-arc-angell]arc angell[/buylink], b&a, aura hypo gel and .... hmmm they'll be more tomorrow I'm sure! hope that helps!

I never see this one mentioned by anyone else, but I really like L'Oreal Melting Gel. It has a lightish hold, pretty much on par with HETT, but it helps my hair clump so much better than HETT.

With having as much and thick curls as you do, I would suggest Biosilk Rock Hard gel or Devacurl ArcAngell because they are stronger hold (especially the BRHG).

I use (pauses to dig up bottle)

L'Oreal Paris StudioLIne Melting Gel. But only because I was looking for a gel and I saw it at my cousin's house (she has 4a curls, I think) and tried it and it worked. I use a quarter-sized dollop, rub it between my hands, and scrunch it into my hair. I will try a different brand next time, because I always do. In search of something better!!!
Proudly CG since 8/10/06 - the story of my hair!
    Type: 3a/b, very thick
    Length: almost BSL wet
Products: Suave coconut conditioner, coconut oil, Totally Twisted gel

    Don't forget to be awesome!

These are all the ones that I would recommend as well...I've been using either the biosilk rock hard gel or angell lately, my third choice would be B&A or [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/DevaCare-Arc-AnGell-p-567.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=devacurl-devacare-arc-angell]Arc Angell[/buylink].
