DoC...KCCC...Basically, what are your HG products?

in Hair Type 2
So, I am thinking of biting the bullet and ordering some things. You gals rave about these products and I just feel I could be missing out, so why not if I have the money, right? :nike:
Anyway, if you could get anything in the world what would you get?
I was looking at BRHG (but I think it may be too hard a hold for me), DoC, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink], [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]CCCC[/buylink], and some others - but I wanted to get your opinions (since they have been so good so far
).
Thanks!

I do want a curl enhancer, and was really interested in DoC. Do you like that out of the four you mentioned?

So [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] and DoC aren't really similar, they act differently?
I just assumed they were pretty close.

I use a lighter gel, I use HETT - gives me light hold and not alot of crunch. I am kind of in the market for a harder holding gel, but not really. More like a vague thought.

I'm not sure. I just know i use them together and they work great. sorry. Maybe someone else will chime in;)

YES [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] does take forever. You either love or hate it. I had it in spring/summer and it DID not work for me. I tried it again and what-do-ya-know? it works. If I'm in a rush , I do not use it.
I would try sampling it first before you buy it. That's just MHO:)
I think that puts it on my NO list. I have about 1.5-2 hours from the time I style my hair to time I get to work to SOTC. That is just enough time...I can't add more time to it and I don't want to have to diffuse.
So DoC doesn't really do this? If not I think I may go that route. She is supposed to be sending me a 20% off coupon code for today only. I'll post when I get it.

I have a code for 20% off today but I don't know if it only works for me? I can share if it works for others since I'm not ordering (already have many products from her)
The AOMM you can get from iherb.com with a code (mine is UJO090) for $5 off first purchase.
If you have a Whole Foods by you check the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] website as it shows where you can get [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] at Whole Foods.
I wish more offered samples like Komaza does.

@dark_waves: IMO, DoC is a frizz-fighting curl enhancer. It's a great "base coat". I loved the results I got with DoC with HETT mousse. And speaking of HETT, I find the HETT gel is a softer-hold gel, not as hard as BRHG. FSG is good to have on hand--it's a great curl enhancer any time, but I definitely need a gel on top. And finally, try a sample (via Kathymack or the swap board) of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] first. I tried it and liked it okay, but it's rather expensive and has some down sides. There are much cheaper curl puddings to play with, like EcoStyler Krystal or Organic Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel. These are not exact replacements for [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink], but are similar enough and so cheap and available at CVS/Sally's that you can play with lots for less.

She is supposed to be emailing me the code. I wish I could just order a sample...missed the free sample they were offering. Do you like any of her other stuff (if I'm going to order may as well make it worth it...)?
I have and LOVE the AOMM, which I did get from iherb with the $5 coupon.

Boot's pink curl cream - just a smidge, usually under [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] or Got2B mousse

Got2B mousse - usually over AOMM and topped w/LALSG or BRHG
Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic - under lots of things, for additional weightless moisture and curl enhancement. Using it more and more instead of my beloved straight FOTE AVG
FOTE AVG - used to always use it under everything, but lately I've been using AOMM so often and it's comprised primarily of AVG, that I often forego the FOTE base. I still love it, though.
Giovanni Magnetic Attraction Gel - especially like it over AOMM then Got2B mousse
Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee or LA Looks Sports Gel for strong hold
Curl Junkie Coffee Cocoa Curl Cream - too heavy for me to use much, but I like a bit of it sometimes under some of the other products
Seamollient - additional curl enhancement, usually along with another product. It plays well with most of them
Komaza Honeycomb Rejuvenating Hair Treatment - a very light, weightless treatment that my hair really enjoys at least once a month - about the only way my hair can take oils
Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo and conditioner for low-pooing and co-washing
Aubrey Organics GPC conditioner at least once a week for a protein hit.
Shique conditioner from Aldi's or any of the other Biolage Conditioning Balm knock-offs - as my rinse out anytime I'm not using AOGPB
Natural cassia occasionally for the strengthening benefits I used to get from full-strength henna
Weak henna and indigo glosses about once a month to blend in my grey
Current Main Rotation: MG217 medicated or Aim2Health 'poos for scalp, Elucence cond., Spiral Solutions Protein & Deeply Decadent Cond., CJCCCC reg or lite,CJ Pattern Pusha,, Giovanni LA Hold Hair Spritz + lots more, sporadically

CG since Aug 09, I love my hair when I take the time to style it, I hate taking the time to do it.

Curls Souffle worked well for me in the winter, even though it should have weighed my hair down. I don't recall seeing a lot of crunch either.
I picture the woman who wears that hair also wearing a Peg Bundy-esque outfit. That hair is just too epic for an everyday look.

I have tried it. I like HETT for the weekends since my hair doesn't need to hold the wave really (since I'm not at work). Once my layers in the back grow out I'll probably use it more since I'll have more wave back there.
normal porosity
I need to get some HETT mousse, althought I'm not a big fan of a lot of volume...I'll try it though. I also thought about trying the EcoStyler Krystal, but thought of it as more of a gel. You use it as a pudding with a gel on top?

I saw this too the first time I googled it :laughing7:
