So I did my first twist out/braid out for Tahia's hair

And it was eh. Took FOREVER. I do not know how you could do this for hours..my arms were aching! I promised not to post the full pic of actual twists and braids (we had curler's in the bottom and she would be moritified if I posted them :laughing7:)

It turned out o.k. Not that great for all that work. Basically her hair is still too predominantly fine to medium to hold in a twist. It does great in the braids but not in a twist. We used CJ Curl Rehab and Hairveda Whipped Gelly to do it.

She really liked the results so we'll likely do it again but I think it will just be a braid out.

Here's some pic's. Her hair has more volume and curl than normal. More root curl for sure. But tonight it's a bit frizzier than normal and the ends are dryer..think the gelly is the culprit. I'm gonna hit em with some Qhemet Biologics (the big guns) and see if that helps.)

EDA: Qhemet Biologics worked like a charm.

Loooove the braid-out. How many did you do on her head to achieve that result? I could never strike the right number to achieve the kind of waves I wanted when my hair was long enough for such things.

    Thankyou!!!!

We did 6 on each side and 6 on the back. All told there were 18 but I SWEAR it seemed more like 81! lol!

Her hair is normally not that different than this...she just likes the look since when she puts it up it looks kind of "Princess-y"

Wow! Man, I wish I could do twist outs, but I just get that crinkly look, I'm sure you know what I mean alex. heh.

I think it looks good, but not that much different. I'm guessing it wasn't realllly worth all the work?

Exacto! Not to me..to her it seems like it's a big difference..me I'm fine with one, two, or a few braids. The twists took longer than the braids.

Next time I think we'll change it up a little bit or I'll do smaller ones and see how that goes. Just for fun..maybe I'll have to work out a while to be prepared for this!

My youngest has always had really long hair. She had very curly hair as a baby/toddler but as she's grown, it's like the curl has grown out. However, whenever I fishtail braid her hair, it is soooo pretty. Fishtails look real complicated but aren't - they are really simple. There are a lot of really helpful video's on how to fishtail braid on youtube - that's how I learned!

No problem! Fishtail braids are soooo pretty in and while my 9 y/o fusses the whole time, they are so pretty in and then her hair is so pretty when I take it down! And everyone is so impressed with how a fishtail looks and it really is super easy!

    Good luck!!!!
