Shower at night

Hello lovely 2s!

I'm trying to get back to my mod-cg routine after destroying my hair with lots of sulfates, cones, and straightening. Due to my schedule, I usually end up showering at night unless I make it to the gym in the morning. My hair is shoulder length, fine, and mostly 2b. How do you shower at night and keep it pretty for morning?

I always shower at night with my normal cowash, conditioner, gel routine. Then, I use a scrunchy to put my wet hair in a loose bun on top of my head. I clip up any random pieces that don't want to stay. In the morning, I gently take my hair down (it's usually still a little damp) and get ready for the day. Right before I leave the house and my hair is almost dry, I turn my head upside down and fluff my hair a little. It's so much easier for me than washing it in the morning.
2A (fine hair but a lot of it), High Porosity
    Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
Rinse: L'oreal Vive Pro Nutrigloss (without cones)
Leave-in: Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Potion
Gel: HETT and HETMS spray gel
Occasionally: Nexuss Emergencee protein treatment and Naked Naturals Smoothing Low Poo

I have found, in the 6 months I've been doing this, that I get the best morning hair if I wash and style my hair at night like I would in the morning. I end with a hard hold gel, dry my hair completely, then pineapple overnight. In the morning I can shake it out and SOTC and it's reasonably good hair. HTH!

I'm trying it now, lets hope for a good monday morning hair day! I put in Herbal Essences Totally Twisted (HETT? Trying to get the hang of these crazy abbreviations!) over my leave-in, diffused about 75% dry. I'm not sure if my hair will make it up in a pineapple as it shrinks a good inch or 2 when curly. I'll update tomorrow!

Can you pull your hair back? Pineappling seems to make a big difference for people, but my hair is so short that I can't do that. I shower at night, style like I would if I were going somewhere, and I should be sleeping in a satin cap, but I can't get my hair to cooperate and get in there, and I lost the string on the one end of the one I do have, then if I wake up and something is going wonky, I wet it a little bit and it usually springs back because there's already product in it.

Never looks as good as it did the night before, but, I try.

    Current routine:

    low poo: GTTTT
rinse out: Suave Naturals Aloe and Waterlily
leave-in: GVP Conditioning Balm or Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition
stylers: Proclaim Curl Activator Gel, Proclaim Crystal Ice Protein Gel or Ecostyler Krystal Gel

i don't pineapple and my hair usually turns out fine in the mornings. just make sure you have a silk or satin pillowcase or sleep cap to protect your hair while you're sleeping.

I have great success with the pineapple, but I wrap it very loosely. This is key. It feels like it will fall out during the night, but it never does and it doesn't pull out my curls. I get great volume though!:blob7:

Haha:), I asked this question about a day ago.

So, what I've been doing (so far) is to wash my hair as usual and right out of the shower, plop it and keep it plopped throughout the night. Now, usually after a night of plopping, I get very tight waves. Some times just fingering through your hair can get it back to it's normal state, although sometimes it just won't budge. Then, I'll wet it a little and dry with a diffuser lightly. Also, you can try pineappling (I haven't tried it, but you might find it works!).
Shampoo and Conditioner: Suave Professionals Humectant

Styling & Finishing: Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz serum, Garnier Fructis Moisturizing Leave in conditioner

Sorry, but I LOVE to straighten my hair!

    2B, a few 2C & 3A strands in there

Well that was nearly a complete bust. I woke up with slightly stringy waves, which I salvaged by wearing it half up/half down. I won't contribute it directly to sleeping on it, since I don't have my hair products figured out this soon. Looks like it is time for some more trial and much error!
