Your weekly PJ Buys
in Hair Type 2
So I thought I'd mimic the 4A forum and they have a great thread about their weekly PJ buys. It's super fun to read all of them and what people are buying and where.
I'm going to start another thread for what did you do to your hair today (also from the 4A forum).
So first proper kudos to the 4A forum for giving me the idea and second definitions---just post whatever you bought in hair products or accessories this week!

Jesus loves you, but I'm his favorite.
Of course heavily influenced by the BF sales:

Large pack of all products
Afroveda:
Shikaki Growth Elixir

I got smaller 4oz sizes to try scents. With the BF discount it was about $28 including shipping for all!

Smoothing Conditioner
CALI
Curl Theory conditioner
Hibiscus and Banana Deep Fix
Hibiscus and Banana LI
I got 4 sample bottles of Kiss My Face (conditioner and upper management gel) from my local health food store--they were on clearance for 50 cents each! So $2 for the lot of them
Also scored at my local Marshall's last night--went in and noticed they had some EO with different ingredients than are in the regular EO you can normally get from Marshall's. So I got the Sweet Orange and Honey shampoo and conditioner. I got them on clearance for $5 for the 32 oz size! Woot! This stuff is like magic on my son's hair so I'm super excited to try the new formula on him!
In my PJ defense I'll say that 3 of the orders were about $23-28 total which is where my $75 over budget went

PM Round Trip (got it free with my Ulta rewards woot!) -- my hair dresser used this on me, and I'm really digging it for all in one. I just use a leave in, and then this, and nothing else. I got the tiny sample size one at the salon to try and I've used it quite a bit. Kinda nice. ooooh and as a christmas present to myself I got the Smashbox palette! I'm so excited!!
CJ haul -- got one of each of the new stuff, except the smoothing condish. It said best for thick hair, so I'll take that as an excuse to avoid.
Gonna order from Hairveda tomorrow.
The moist condition pro and the Vatika frosting. prolly gonna get some of the pur whipped butter/cream/shea or something too.
That's it. I need to order from GoW tomorrow too.
Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
Rinse: L'oreal Vive Pro Nutrigloss (without cones)
Leave-in: Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Potion

I really want to try this. Let us know how you like it...who am I kidding of, of course you will :toothy4:

gekko -- Round Trip is this goo like stuff. Its very watery, sorta reminds me of the Artec texturline gel (can't remember if you've tried that or not). Its runny, not like BHRG at all. It has a little bit of mag sulfate, but I haven't noticed it drying my hair out at all, but I'm not mag sulfate sensitive either. I hated it in the summer because it dried plasticy on my hair. It was like putting straight BHRG in. however, now it gives me hold with no crunch and I think it actually gives a bit of curl enhancement. I've really been digging it. Its not a fave on the boards, I think the general consensus was "meh, I've used better."

Aiming to grow hair to waist from buzz cut - slowly but surely.
Due to Goobernut and Rymorg I p/u Paul Mitchell Round Trip which I'm going to try today :sunny:
I ordered more Jasmine's products--more of the Shea Conditioner (the BOMB!) and Babassu Conditioner and some of her body butters and lotions since kathymack said that they were very nice. We've discovered lately that natural body products like butters keep my son's excema away and keep all of us from itching. I've ditched cones and icky stuff in my body lotions and my skin is SO much better! :blob2:
I was finally able to order from Darcy's Botanicals so I ordered the new Pumpkin conditioner, more curling jelly, and the new spray leave in for fine hair. She's sending me samples of the Tucuma Whip and the new Wild Plum Twisting cream. I can't ait to try them!
I also got a new Diffuser (Conair Ionic Curl Fusion) that I'm loving.
I know we're in the holiday season--but I know I'm not the only one who buys stuff year round :toothy2:

EO Sweet Orange and Honey (thanks to alex for the heads up that this is actually different from the reg sweet orange) It has protein AND coconut oil!!
Chi Infra Red Gel (got this from Helloitsio -- just like she recommened Artec)
I almost ALMOST bought this little baggie of stuff from Terax. It was 12.99 and it had two of the small size terax crema, small miele shampoo, and a small lifedrops. I decided that since i have tried and don't like the terax crema -- why would I buy that bag? LOL. It is christmas!! I should be spending this money on other people!! so I put it back.
I did get this supercute green hat though! haha.
I have the CHI infra gel....it's pretty good. It has decent hold.

for some reason that particular polymer leaves a film on my hair that gets on my hands and makes them sticky when i touch my hair after it's dry. i don't know if it's just me or what, but i hate the product-y thing. i noticed it with LA looks gels and hett gel, so i started using gels without it and the film was gone. i've been avoiding it ever since. :dontknow:
Ordered some more DB stuff--another pumpkin conditioner, the herbal leave in spritz, restock on my coconut and aloe moisture pudding and the tucuma butter whip.
I also ordered that Razzamatazz Jellie that Heather0Kay uses--shipping was super cheap!
I just picked up from Christophe low poo..trial size on clearance at CVS for 75 cents so can't beat that.
Oh and I just bought a bunch of hair stuff accessories! Headbands, scarves for the hair, etc. I think I'm going to use some as I really do want to grow out my hair a little.
Anyone else spending Xmas money on product or accessories?

:hello1:-ME!!!
My mom got me a GC to this site, so i ordered the curl towel thingys. Maybe they will help (i hope)

Oh me!! My friend gave me an Ulta gift card -- YAY me! Not sure what I'm gonna get. I'm glad you made that post about the ulta sale. Though I will prolly get makeup instead of hair stuff this time around.
I just made a GoW restock order, was gonna make a darcy's order, but she's outta stock on one of the things I wanted to try.
I got a sample order from Kathymack, and depending on how that goes, I'll prolly pick up some more online stuff hahaha. I did get some [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink] to try -- I figure its my curly duty to try it at least once.
I made a round at Sally's today. I got some Sally girl eyeshadows (thanks peda), and some nail buffers! I also picked up some more aphogee. I also saw this small bottle of Ion volumizing stuff. It was a gel like substance (but not a gel). I was CG (maybe modified cones?) and it was 5 bucks. It was worth a try! The ingredients reminded me of a synthetic version of DoC. With a little PVP added for hold.
Next payday is going to be CJ, hoping to get the new [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]CCCC[/buylink] lite and her cleansing condish. I will add some rehab AND H&B fix to the order!
Uhhh, I had seen the razzamataz in Heather's siggy, and kept meaning to look it up! Thanks for the reminder Alex! haha.
Edit: the Mop Top Trial pack has the SLS free shampoo, daily conditioner, gel and refresher spray.
Routine: Occasionally wash with Lavender baby shampoo. CO wash with Garnier triple nutrition conditioner, use a nickel sized blob as a leave in, scrunch out a little water, scrunch in some aloe gel (FOTE), then scrunch in some Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee (BRHG). Plop with a backwards turbie twist for 10 min - to overnight.
CG since 23 May 2009! (with some minor slips)
So what'd you get in samples?
I'll send you some Razzamataz once I get it...should be here early next week hopefully.
Me too with the CCCCLite--cannot WAIT for that stuff!!!! And the cleansing condish. She says the 15th:)

I'm still getting little acne type bumps everwhere ANY clip touches my head. It's why I bought some headbands yesterday--we'll see how they go.

So your little plastic clips are breaking you out too? that sucks. I wonder what it is.
I got some Jasmines Shea Butter Condish, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink], DM Detangler and the Jasmines body butter. I think I got one more thing but I can't remember. I didn't spend as much as I usually do ha!
At Sally's I got the old school nail buffer with the chamois and the buffing cream! Its awesome! I have very thin nails, so when I would use the 3-1 type buffer, it would take away too much of my actual nail. Make it too thin. This chamois buffer just makes it nice and shiney! Not as smooth and perfect, but I like the sheen.
Oh you'll like the Jasmines...I like the DM Detangler as well as a LI--its very light. I LOVE the Jasmine's BB stuff.
Yep any clip seems to be breaking me out. I'm going to try and not get any product on my scalp at all once I'm done rinsing to see if its just the clip rubbing the product in my scalp or something. Its very frustrating since it itches and its gross!
