Loving HETT mousse!

solidgoldsolidgold Registered Users Posts: 1,485 Curl Neophyte
I got HETT mousse after reading Rudeechick's mousse thread. I cowashed/rinsed out with GFTN, used a penny-sized blob of DoC smoothed over the canopy, then scrunched in two foamy palms full of mousse on wet hair. I'm attaching wet and dry pics. I really like this combo--soft hold, little frizz, touchable hair.

And it was $.99 at CVS!

I cross-posted this a few other places but I'm so excited about it I wanted to post it here too.

Finale, before yesterday I would have sworn that my hair liked gels better! It's cheap enough so that you can try it and see if you like it. The HE products always seem to be on sale at CVS.

I am so happy you liked it! Every time you post with pics I am so jealous of the body and volume in your hair! OMG I seriously would love that body! :love10::love10::love10::love10:

I'd take frizz to get that body! Plus it looks great and not at all producty--just soft and touchable.

It's beautiful Goldie!!! I still can't get over how fast your hair grows!

Alex, I wish I had your hairveda hair, especially with that cute little forehead curl! I have a very hard time taming the bulk and frizz. I have a very small head and great big poofy hair--it's ridiculous!

I LOVE big hair and voluminous hair...must be the fact I tried for it for so many years in the 80's in college...never really was able to achieve it w/o lots of hairspray (and I mean it was GROSS the amount of hairspray I used!)...so everytime I see yours and it looks so natural I want it:) Of course yours isn't like the 80's more Madonna or Flock of Seagulls hair but has so much body...LOVE IT!

I wish 80s hair was in. Or mullets. I can totally rock a mullet, unfortunately.

Try all their mousses. They all work great. I think the thing with a mousse is that you have to use so much more. I myself use 2 big palmfuls but its working great for me with the weather change. Controls the frizz and holds the curls. Best of all I find my hair tangles alot less with mousse than with gel.

    solidgold,

I agree with you. I always LOVED the 80s big hair. That was the only decade that my hair was in style. I loved the layers and the volume. :love10:

Crazywaves, did you notice any difference between the mousses? I would try others if they are noticeably different or do different things.

The biggest diference is with the set me up mousse. It has a stronger hold with more crunch to scrunch out. The difference between BE and TT are very small. I use the body envy the most. It can be hard to get the HE stylers sometimes so I buy all of them. They are all great products at a great price. I noticed last time I was in the store that they have changed the look of the set me up line.

Solidgold, you are TOTALLY right about this mousse. I got some on sale at CVS today, and I used about a palm-ful (with a dime's worth of gel, b/c I was afraid, lol) to achieve the attached photo. I need to SOTC, but it's not entirely dry yet (I only diffused to about 80%).

I also included one of my hair on a "good" hair day last week to show the difference.

Finale, I love the pic of your hair dry. I love those waves. The other pics look pretty good too! The wet pics look like my hair when it was wet!

Solidgold, thanks for the compliment on the dry pic. That was actually pre-cg, so that's what my hair looks like with sulfates and cones on a good day.

I think we have similar hair -- my end result looks like a shorter version of your end result. :)

Bumping just to say my BF is now using the mousse to slick his hair back. He looks like he could be on Mad Men. I'll have to get a picture because a few curls escape the slicking and it's so cute.
