Leave-in Ingredient Check--Please Vote

My favorite leave-in caused build-up (contained lanolin). I am looking for a good drugstore leave-in moisturizing lotion. Can you help me out?

Any suggestions for a light, non-greasy, non-heavy silicone, non-lanolin, non-petrochemical, and easily absorbed product are welcomed (and no Elucence....it just sits on my hair and does nothing LOL).

My hair thanks you!

I would have said Product 1 except for the emulsifying wax at #3 in the list that suggests future build-up. Product 2 has a non-water soluble silicone.

As far as suggestions, I just tried Curl Junkie Hibiscus and Banana leave-in (fine) and have been raving about it ever since. Also [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Too-Shea-Extra-Moisturizing-Conditioner-p-105.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-too-shea-extra-moisturizing-conditioner]Jessicurl Too shea[/buylink], but haven't used it as a leave-in as yet.

Emulsifying Wax NF doesn't buildup. Ironically, it isn't a wax when it has the NF but a combination of cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate 60 already in a stable emulsion without the need for secondary emulsifiers. Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty (moisturizing alcohol).

But the castor oil and isopropyl myristate do concern me for buildup in the first one, as does the dimethicone in the 2nd (but less so).

I'd vote for the 2nd one unless you know your hair *loves* oils a lot.

I would have to say neither. Curl Junkie's Hibiscus and Banana Leave-Ins are the most popular one's going.

    Thanks curlies.

I tried the CJ products but they "sit" on my hair and do not sink in at all. My strands are fine and not very porous so it needs a light liquid/clear lotion type of product that can penetrate my strands. Even Giovanni which is a lotion type did not penetrate my hair. And Curls dried my hair awfully.

I am not sure that I am even going to try the above. Now that I think about it, they may be too heavy. I am trying to find the original JML Cactus leave-in. That may work for my hair. The newer version did nothing because it was too creamy.

    I just have weird hair…..

Thanks for the tip about the emulsifying wax, LB. I did not know that.
