I used this product yesterday without heat. I liked it. At first I was expecting that my tangles would "melt away" as in another review, but that did not happen. I got over my initial frustration and combed it thru and left it with a plastic cap. I left it on a little longer than the 10 minutes suggested on the jar (got sidetracked) but when I took the cap off I was pleasantly surprised. It absorbed very well into my hair and it was just what my hair was looking for. I had installed a filter on my shower and I was convinced that it killed my curls - I was not able to achieve ANY clumping for at least two weeks - I had frizzy, small, corkscrew curls which I did not hate but it was hell to detangle and style (I have a not-so-teeny TWA). I am going for 3rd-day hair tomorrow. I only wish it detangled a bit better but I guess that is what patience is for. I will continue to use before I decide if I will repurchase.
