Winter Hair

Okay, I've been lurking for ages but now I need hair help so...............here goes.

I have 3c/4a hair cut into a banged bob that is a little bit shorter than Michelle Obama's. All summer I rocked my hair natural but now that's it's cold, I've been wearing it straight. Once a week, I blow it out and flat iron it with my Jose Eber 1" ceramic flat iron. The problem is that I'm concerned about damage. I love my curls and I don't want to mess them up. However, it's waaay to cold in VA for me to leave the house with wet hair. I can't do twist outs and things of that nature because they always look crazy on me. What are my options other than getting braids or a weave?

Have you considered washing your hair at night and fluffing in the morning? This is what I do. I can't leave the house with a fresh wash and go because I look like I have a jheri curl.

This N. Englander is still walking out the house with wet hair. I'll change to washing at night or planning enough morning time to diffuse when it hits 40-45 degrees F. I'm a hard case.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
