Help me pick out a new hair dryer

I had a BaByliss PRO TT Tourmaline 3500 Dryer, which I loved. It dried my hair so much faster than my diffuser. But it died, and I sent it back for a replacement, as it was still under warranty. They informed that it's been discontinued, so I have to pick out a new one. My husband bought it for me at www.folica.com for $79.95 so I want to get another one for around the same price. I'm thinking about just getting the BaByliss Pro TT 3000, but the reviews seem to suggest that one will break too. If you had ~$80 to spend on a hair dryer what would you get?

I didn't spend $80 on a blow dryer, but I bought this one at Sally's and I LOVE it. http://www.sallybeauty.com/pink-hairdryer/SBS-510302,default,pd.html?cgid=Hair09-03-03

Good luck in your search. I hated searching for the perfect dryer.

I just bought this Conair dryer for $34 for my daughter in college:

It works really well and eliminates frizz.

I use the Sedu Ultrapower Tourmaline dryer, but it costs $135. It is really great - I love it.

I just bought this hair dryer from Sally's. It's really light and comes with a diffuser. I like it a lot.

Annie how is the $135 one different from the less expensive ones?

I decided to just shell out the extra money and get the Babyliss thermal ionic hard hat dryer. It has excellent reviews, all the other ones I was looking at said they broke too easily. I need to spend the money at www.folica.com, since that's where we originally bought it. They aren't giving me a refund, just letting me put the money towards another dryer. So anything at Sally's is out. Thanks everyone!

The Sedu is fabulous. To me, it was worth every penny. It is 3 years old and is still like new. The heat just seems more concentrated. The nozzle is narrower so my hair doesn't fly all over the place. Plus, it just feels like the heat is stronger. My hair dries quicker and with little or no frizz. :love7:

There is just no comparison. My cheap blowdryers are all junk (Revlon, Conair).

    Good luck.
