Shea Butter + Aloe from the plant

Hey I have a massive aloe plant growing in my yard and I wanted to know how I will be able to use it to benefit my hair.
I have also been reading up on shealoe butter and wanted to know if mixing the aloe with shea butter would work , with a touch of preservative like rosemary oil. Thanks in advance

Basically you split the leaf down the side and scoop out the "gel", which, depending of which species of aloe can be kind of solid. Then you put it in blender whith some water and blend it up. The resulting liquid is the aloe gel you can use to wash your hair, etc. Just be sure to strain it, maybe even pass it through a cheesecloth or a stocking scok to be sure you get all the white bits out.
Once u have that liquid then you can experiment mixing it with other stuff, but becasue of the water content you would need an emulsifier for the aloe and the oil of your choice to bind. I think they use powdered aloe vera with the shea. Just have to melt the shea, add the powder, mix until it disolves and you have shealoe
You can use fractioned coconut oil which has a 2 year shelf life and will preserve the other ingredeints too. If you have experince using rosamary EO as a presrevative then go ahead. Its a powerful EO to be used with caution. If you are not sure, add fractioned coconut oil to your mix and a few drops of lavender EO which is a much safer and milder persrvative, plus its good for our hair.
Hope this helps
