You may get a few suggestions:

    - What do you use currently and how effective is it?
    - Do you want to stay withing a certain price range?
    - do you prefer to order online or buy retail
    - do you care or not about whether product has silicones, mineral oil/petrolatum, etc.?

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.

*well im kinda new to doing my natural hair..i used to flatiron it most of the time. But anyways, I use long aid curl activator. (idk if that really gives good curl definition or not but one of my natural friends recommended it) Its ok when i do a twistout but it doesnt really stay all day. I also dont have good 2nd day hair.

*Id prefer to buy retail but im open to online if it works really well.

*the price range doesnt really matter as long as its not too expensive

*im open to the mineral oil/silicone stuff as long as its not too greasy or anything.

Im really just looking for something that does what its supposed to do. I havent really used a product that provided good curl def for 4a/4b so im open to try some products.

Here's my 2 cents. I am a past or current user of all of these, thatl give me great curl defintion/decreased frizz, and that I like. My mostly 4a hair is 95% transitioned from a 3c-effect relaxer/texturizer.

    $ = $2-$10
    $$ = $10- $20
    $$$ = over $20

Store creams(low $) - Still have all of these but haven't use lately.
    Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Cream
    Cantu Sheabutter Leave In conditoner
    Beyond the Zone Noodlehead

    Store Gel (low $)
Clairol Herbal Essences Humidity Defying Gel - it's discontinued but I found 3 tubs. Good stuff when I need a gel. The new CHE gels may work as well.

    On-line (med-high$$) - These are favorites
Blended Beauty Stying Butter cream (my favorite even though I use with a gel)

    Available On-line (high $$$)
[buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]Kinky-Curly Curling Custard[/buylink] - I use alone ; Just bought; like a gel, but not. It's technically a jelly; great definition.
Miss Jessie's [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Curly-Pudding-p-578.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-curly-pudding]Curly Pudding[/buylink] - no longer use - but good stuff. Most expensive of all products here.
