Help! Growing out short, layered hair....any suggestions?

Hi all,
I am currently trying to grow out my short, very layered hair. At this point it just looks huge and goofy and I am tempted to trim. Should I let it grow longer and then cut it all one length so that the layers are not so obvious? I have no idea what to do. Suggestions please (thank you).
Present length: 3in (length varies according to layers)
Goal length: BSL
Hair type: 3a/b, m, iii
Trimming: Once every 3 months= dusting
Products: VO5 Moisture Milks (strawberries and cream), Garnier Triple Nutrition conditioner, Garnier Fructis- PlayStyle gel mixed w/ Salon Professionals leave-in.
Color: A non-amonia formula every 2 months.
Vitamins: Daily antioxident formula, B-12, and calcium w/ vitamin D.

Just let it grow. Headbands and bobbypins. Good luck.

Mm, we're in the same boat. Except my hair, every time I cut it even, it grows back layered. So I gave up the trimming idea; I suggest to just grow it out. Make sure to moisturize the ends so you get less breakage!

Well, moisturize a lot in general. I'm still working on the perfect detangling method though..

I feel your pain... I got a really bad short layered cut and its killing me. I've been trying to grow it out but its only been 10 weeks and I can't take it t... I actually just made an appointment w/ a curly hair specialist in a couple weeks to see if he can fix it up so its easier to grow out. I'm sure its going to get even shorter now but its so uneven I can't stand it... it drives me bonkers every morning!
:( Good luck! I wish I had your will power!
