with gel? I just discovered that gel is my best friend when it comes to curl defintion, I have THE best curls with it...but im worried that they will get cruncy. I need a good leave it that will blend with it (because cantu IS gross with gel!!).

Any suggestions?

I've heard that people have problems with Cantu Shea Leave-in with gel, but I haven't. When I use a gel, I comb the leave-in through and then comb the the gel through. I haven't had white clumps behind it.

Others I love a lot and work well under gel:

PM The Conditioner. It comes out of the bottle like a sheer creamy blue color, but I find it to be the most gel friendly leave-in I've ever used. My hair loves gel mostly too adn this is the only one that doesn't leave white buildup while drying...

I was excited about the Cantu when I purchased it, but it doesn't mix well. I use [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Blended-Beauty-Styling-Butter-Cream-p-529.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=blended-beauty-styling-butter-cream]Blended Beauty Styling Butter cream[/buylink] as a base on my wet (not towel-dried) hair, then some Clairol Herbal Essences Humidity Defying Gel for hold where needed. It's more a styling butter than a leave-in, but it's extremely nourishing and moisturizing, and all natural ingredients. I'm pretty stuck on it.

I second the recommendation for Paul Mitchell the Conditioner. As long as I don't overapply it, it works well under all of my styling products. [/i]

I couldn't wait to come an reply to this post after washing my hair last night. First of all, I am transitioning... I have been for two months now ( I know still a newbie). But anyway, all my life I have never been able to detangle my hair without strife. But after visiting this site and following the recommendations of you guys, I have finally found a leave-in that is heaven. I love ELUCENCE! Thanks so much. You have made my life so much better

On another note, I also love the Fantasia IC gel.
