Coconut Milk as conditioner??

Tip from Glamour Magazine Nov. 09 p72
Says to pour the unsweetened coconut milk in a bowl; refriderate overnight so it's solid. Apply to dry hair; shampoo out after 20 minutes.

Would this be a protein treatment? Moisture? Both? Anyone ever heard of this?

Do a coconut milk hair mask. This recipe from makeupalley.com leaves hair so silky and fragrant it's almost as satisfying as a piña colada. Pour 14 ounces of unsweetened coconut milk in a bowl; refrigerate overnight so it's solid. Apply to dry hair; shampoo out after 20 minutes.

I love using coconut milk on it's own or in any DT recipe. I find that it provides light protein and moisture. It also works great to detangle. When I rinse after a coconut milk DT, my BSL hair is tangle free, soft, shiny and moisturized. Definitely worth trying!

It's a light protein treatment and leaves your hair suuuuuper shiny! I don't think you need to shampoo, just rinse well.

I actually do coconut milk treatments the day after I shampoo

I wouldn't recommend doing this every day. Maybe once a week, better once every 2 weeks

My hair loves coconut milk. I try to use it at least once a month, either in a homemade dt or mixed with ayurvedic powders. I actually did a combination today. I took half a cup of kapoor kachli and added this to a mix of coconut milk, olive oil, honey, avocado and banana.

I love the results, my hair is really shiny and soft, hardly any frizz and it feels stronger than before.
