Calling Rou: Blue highlight? UPDATE: Still need answer!!!

NYC has a shade of loose shimmer eye shadow called 'baby blue' that is, as the name suggests, blue. But these shadows I've heard are very subtle touches with shimmer. I am cool (heehee, I like saying that! ), and I have blue eyes with a green center, fair skin and med./dark brown hair. The green only came in during middle school, and I love when my eyes look bluer, not greener, because that's how I grew up and that's what I like seeing in my face. Would this blue tone help with that? Is there something wrong with blue highlighter, i.e. it being too harsh? Should I just go with white?
I am so confused!
OMG, LOOK!!

...It's a siggie.

if you want to enhance the blue in your eyes, you should try wearing a colour opposite blue on the colour wheel - so, orange/peach/pink would be your best bets.

But what about my main question? Is a blue highlight okay?

perhaps i misunderstood? i thought you wanted to enhance the blue in your eyes... yes?

wearing blue won't necessarily do that.

there are no rights or wrongs when it comes to makeup, but there are colours and techniques that will enhance features, just as others will detract from them.

Sure I tossed that eye color thing in, but my main question was, regardless of eye color, if blue would work as a highlight. As in, would it look unnatural?

If you don't mind someone else tossing in her two cents...

I have some blue eyeshadows and highlighters, and the trick to them I've found is where you use them. Keep them away from the inside corner or lower eyelid, or they'll make your eyes look hollow and tired. I usually use my baby blue shimmery cream eye shadow right along my upper lash line to give a nice blue highlight without it looking to cheesy.

I usually use pink, silver, or pale gold highlighter at the browbone – something that will blend in with my skin and give a very subtle hint of shimmer and color. Brighter colors I tend to keep below the crease for fear of looking like Tammy Faye Baker.

I have two different highlighting shades. One has cool tones and I use it when I wear cool-toned eyeshadows (like grey). The other is a warm based highlighter that I use with my brown and bronze eyeshadows.

I find that bronze and peach eyeshadows seem to make my eyes appear super blue.
