what do you do for exercise now? any kind of lower body cardio will help firm them up, along with some adductor raises to build muscle and strength in that area. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvxirFMJJnA
zumba is also really good for the hips/thighs. great workout!

Pilates will do it. I find the breathwork and movements very core strengthening

You cannot target or spot lose. It requires cardio and strength training.

I tried for years to minimize mine: swimming, aerobics, bike riding, etc. Unfortunately, there are just some areas where we carry mass.

Lipo did it for me, but it's not for everyone.

With me its not that noticeable (or at least thats what other people say...) i just dont like the tire around my belly. Especially when i my cousin is 9 months pregnant and looks smaller than me! Then again she carries it extremely well.

Well, posture helps, and all-over toning. But I had definite "spot" issues.

oh, I see...love handles. I thought you were talking saddle bags (as in those on your hips/butt) LOL
Cardio is your best bet and core strengthening as SBB mentioned. Zumba is also awesome core exercise, belly dance, pilates,

oh no! it's hard to get and most don't get in on the first try. If it's something you are interested in, it's definitely worth giving it a few more shots. GL

If there's one thing fitness experts wil l tell you it's that isn't foolish to think you can just change the fat on a certain body part. It isn't possible. You can lose all over to make that area smaller but you can't leave everywhere else the same and just change your hips. You can tone the muscles in that area to change the shape a little bit but that fat will still be on top of it unless you lose weight all over you body.
Some body parts just hold fat more than others on people and that composition will not change.

Any cardio in general will help in overall weight loss. Combine it with muscle toning and you'll see improvements a little quicker.

Also, just a side note that your body doesn't start burning fat until after 30min of exercise (I try to do at least 40min when I go to the gym).

one last note is too take a look over what you're eating since it's hard to just exercise and lose weight. doing something simple like, switching from pretzels to fruit for a snack, or replacing one drink(either soda, fruit juice or another sugary drink if you drink them) a day with water can help.

try ballet conditioning!!! It will tone you everywhere! You would think seeing the work out you only focus on lower body but you will feel your stomach and back and arms tighten and of course your thighs.
