color-safe shampoos

What makes a shampoo/conditioner safe for color-treated hair?

It seems like many of the low-poos do not specify that they are color-safe.

You could try the L'Oreal EverPure line. Their shampoos are sulfate free, and most of the products are specifically for color-treated hair.

If you are using Color by RC, you'll want to be careful not to use shampoos or products with a high oil content, this can strip fresh color. I have used [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Hair-Cleansing-Cream-p-103.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-hair-cleansing-cream]Jessicurl's HCC[/buylink] and GLS a week or so later, and it's OK, but not soon after coloring. I would recommend the GLS since it has less oils (using up my HCC first).
