Yogurt face wash?

Mamacurl3Mamacurl3 Posts: 1,559Registered Users
So based on what I've learned about yogurt, basically that it's wonderful for freshening up skin and getting dead skin cells off of the skin. I've done masks, which feel lovely. Just curious if anyone has ever seen a yogurt face wash? or tried one? I've talked with Bonnie at whispering windz to see if she'd be able to (since she does yogurt cream/moisturizers). I'd be in heaven if she came up with something. Until then, I'm on the hunt. Thoughts?

so I haven't found much of anything, a few random yogurt cleansers...here's one I'm thinking of trying /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freshbodymarket.com%2Fskinyogurtduo.html" class="Popup
though in the meantime I'm experimenting with homemade yogurt masks/cleansers. I did a yogurt, turmeric and honey one last night and my face looked and felt awesome afterwards! Definitely worth trying. I think I'll just wash my face in yogurt nightly.

I haven't ever tried these, but I found some recipes.
    /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bathandbodyrecipes.com%2Fbath-body-recipe-82%2Fhoney-lime-and-yogurt-facial-cleanser-recipe.html" class="Popup

They are near the bottom, there are three or four that use yogurt:

I'm sure there are more, but that is all I found doing a quick search.

I've also done a turmeric yogurt mask, which is also really nice! gives your skin a nice glow (and apparently is good for acne and blemishes).:thumbleft: /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ehow.com%2Fhow_2156200_make-turmeric-face-mask.html" class="Popup

I tried the honey, lime and yogurt cleanser today and I really like it!
I let it sit for about five minutes and then rinsed with warm water. My face felt quite a bit softer.

I will definitely have to try the turmeric yogurt mask.

I have the turmeric/yogurt on right now. I think my skin actually felt softer after the turmeric and seemed to glow! (in a good way, LOL. I was a bit fearful that the turmeric would turn my skin orange :0) let me know what you think of it.

I wanted to try one of those washes too and got my turmeric. I did a mask of turmeric and honey and my face ended up pretty dry on the first day. The second day I used less turmeric and more honey, then washed my face with a Garnier Fructis face wash which is supposed to moisturise. I was left a little bit less dry this time, and so, I'm a bit sceptical of my turmeric. I've bought Shan PREMIUM QUALITY Khalis Haldee Turmeric powder which has no list of ingredients. Mine is yellow, but has red dots in it. Does turmeric powder usually have these dots or is this one contaminated with other spices? Please help me, I fear I may need to get something else or give up on this product altogether.
