Hmm, I wouldn't do anything. Luckily for you (but bad for those who want to remain redheads!), red dye is notorious for quick fading. Give it two weeks, it will be lighter. And by a month, you will notice a difference.

I think dying it again wll just cause damage, unless you wanna go to a salon and get some rad funky blonde highlights to go with it.

Another thing you could do is use this time to experiment with some different make-up -- green shadows and liners look killer with red hair.

But like I said...all I can offer is patience. And you never know! In 48 hours, things might not seem so bad. ;)

    PS - I LOVE Ashlee's colour.

Give it a week or two to settle in. Reds do look dark when you first do them, then fade out a bit then settle to what its gonna be. Semi-dyes do this quicker than the permanent dyes but they do it too..

I've been a bottle redhead for a long time and they all settle in a couple weeks.

Sorry just thought of another thing, if you really just want to take all the red tones out there is something you can get at the beauty supply that you can add to your shampoo to cut the red..

A friend used a couple years ago, it was a blue stuff just a capful to a bottle of shampoo.. I have no idea what it was called or really paid much attention since I liked being a redhead.. But a good beauty supply might know what I'm talking about..

    just a thought..

Red dye fades very quickly, you could try a couple of sulfate shampoo washes...PT: that stuff is called 'Toner' I usually buy this one to take the brassiness off blonde hair, you could probably dilute it in shampoo to use on red hair:

you have all made great suggestions, thanks. :D

It has been a few days and the horrid red color has faded considerably but now my hair is incredibly dark, so incredibly dark that when I look in the mirror I wonder if I should be cast for the Twilight movie, because I look lke a vampire. lol.

I just really can't stand the color and think I might just dye it brown.
