Blonde roots and dark ends

HELP! I dyed my hair honey blonde and now my roots are light and my ends are dark. What can I do about this?

    I have had this happen its cause I have dyed my hair before and it takes longer to lift the old dyes than it does the new growth at the roots..

    I usually get it light enough that the purple, red or other wild color will look ok once it gets put in.. But in between the bleach and color I do a complete wash and dry to see that its light enough, if not I have done a reapply of the bleach to the ends to get them where it works for my needs.

    But before taking my advice please let a few others with more experience with going blonde offer advice.
