Whispering windz farm whipped soap. Which isnt a soap at all. Its the gentlest I have found so far. No vinegar rinse needed.

I second whispering windz whipped soap. Especially since your friend could use it for a body wash as well as a shampoo. More bang for your buck

If she wants to stay the grocery store route, there's also giovanni shampoos which are sulfate free (if you've got a target near you, they usually have the travel size bottles so she could test it out). A lot of grocery stores carry it now, as well as Target.

ohhh those soap bars look divine:) thanks for sharing the link.
    To OP.
Target sells the Giovanni line which runs around 8.00 a bottle
Suave naturals -- not sure if it is sulfate free. I've only ever used the condish.
Walgreens sells bare naked. I think that's the brand. You can often find a buy one get one free.
    Burt's bee run's about 8.00 a bottle.

I hate the Giovanni 50:50 to wash my hair - it leaves it too dry but it's one of the best body washes I've ever used!

Walgreens sells the Naked Naturals line as does CVS. The smoothing one is supposed to be very nice. Burt's Bees Avalon Organics and Giovanni can all be purchased at wal mart over by the skin care aisle.

I really like Christophe Beverly Hills Pure Naturals sulfate-free shampoo. I can find it at any local drugstore, but I'm not sure about how easy it would be to find it where you are. It runs about the same price as Burt's Bees (which I also found to be harsh--I even had an allergic reaction).

We also have Naked Naturals here. The conditioners are AWFUL (full of silicones), but the shampoo isn't bad.
:batman: 2b/cFi, low density, normal porosity, high elasticity

    Low-poo
: Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle
    Conditioner
: Suave Naturals (whatever scent I have on hand)
    Styling
: Paul Mitchell Round Trip, Tresemme Climate Control Finishing Spray

I'm a hair minimalist: the less time I spend on my hair, the better.

I took my son to a dermatologist for his eczema last week, and she recommended a brand called CeraVe. It's available at CVS and Walgreens. The cleanser doesn't have any sulfates in it. I didn't buy the cleanser (only the cream), so I'm not sure how much it runs. It may be closer to $14 or $15 a bottle, but she may want to check into it.
    Somewhere between a 2c & 3a
    Liking:
    -Suave Naturals or VO5 (co-wash)
    -GVP Conditioning Balm (conditioner)
    -L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutrigloss (conditioner)
-Giovanni Direct Leave-in or GVP Conditioning Balm as leave-in
-Flax seed gel (my favorite right now)
    -KCCC
    -Biotera Gel
    -HETT mousse
I have bangs now, and I love 'em!

I have really bad eczema too, and I use Aveeno body wash, in the unscented kind (that probably has sulphates in it, but it's really gentle to me)
I'm mostly a 3b-c, with a bit of everything else thrown in.
    I'm 17 years old.
    SL when dry.
I'm kind of CG (occasional sulphate)

Wash: Miss Jessie's Creme de la Curl Cleansing Creme, Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner, Occasional LowPoo grabbed from a drugstore or Biotera Moisturizing Shampoo (for BAD buildup)
Condition: Kenra, AOHR, Queen Helene's Cholesterol, Biolage Conditioning Balm, Generic KPak
    ALWAYS Biotera Styling Gel
    Haven't found a leave-in I like yet

For Naked Naturals, the best one is supposed to be the Smoothing version (CVS or Rite Aid). Walgreens near me only have the Lavendar version.

That's wierd! My walgreens only carries the Lavender version too.

If they are available, I recommend LiveClean products. The moisturizing shampoo is fabulous! In the stores here you can usually get it for 5.99 or 6.99. This one looks really cool ... haven't seen it in the stores yet, though.

I believe Organix is sulfate-free, and this can be found in CVS. They also have many scents to choose from :-)

Shea Moisture coconut & hibiscus curl & shine shampoo! I have eczema and a patch of dermatitis on my back and have problems when the shampoo runs down my back upon rinsing. Their Raw Shea Butter moisture retention shampoo works too but I don't like the scent. :p The line is carried at Walgreens, etc and can even be ordered from Walgreens online. :)

I'm gonna go with Renpure Organics Argan Oil Luxurious Shampoo 16 fl oz $5.99 on Drugstoredotcom
It rocks! :headbang: It's very creamy and gentle,
    also protein and glycerin free

I also really like L'oreal Evercurl Hydracharge Shampoo despite its slightly strong scent, it hasn't set off any of my ridiculous allergies and is slightly easier to find for about $7 for 8.5oz

If your version of cheap is under $10, I'd suggest some of Giovanni's shampoos. They are different types to choose which are sulfate free. The new curly line by Loreal has a few non-sulfate cleaners as well (under $10), but make sure to double check those ingredients as well. It sucks because Tresseme Naturals has a silicone free conditioner, but does not have a sulfate free shampoo yet, at least where I am. Hope some of this helps.

Im not sure if it's sulfate free but did you try Baby's shampoo? It can even be used for makeup removal.
