First haircut in 6 years on Saturday..help!!

SO a lady came to cut the lads hair today and I got talking to her about my own hair, and eventually I asked her if she would cut it.

I don't know what to ask her to do, whether I should just get her to tidy the ends, I have been hacking it myself and it really doesn't look good, and see if I trust her ad get a bigger chop another time, or to just go for it ad ask her to bsl me.

I do want a katie melua kinda thing, but i am afraid of going from almost waist length to so short...I don't even know what to ask for, i just know I HATE MY HAIR lately.
Here are my curly pics, password is fuzz

Hummm that girls hair looks awesome... go for it. BTW is that your hair on your avatar? If so I'll take it :dwarf:

My suggestion is to go for the trim first. You can always ask her to go shorter next time. Always can go back to get it shorter, never can go back to get it longer heh.

Also, some people's version of a "trim" or "just tidy it up" could end up being BSL. So just have her tidy it up and see what she's like. Take the relationship easy at first ;)

And I took a look at your pics, and OMG I LOVE THE CURLY BRAIDS!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so freaking adorable!

Maybe have her cut a couple of inches off? Then you can see how it is a bit shorter, and see how accurate she is? Good luck! :)

Thanks guys, my hair isn't nice like that anymore. I had just started CG and it was working really well, but things have kinda gone off track, not least of all because of health issues and problems with discontinued products and such.

I will ask her to just take the split ends off and maybe even up the back...the ends look straggly atm. The front I might ask her to go VERY easy on, its much curlier than back, and of course, inconsistent in curl either side, so I want to avoid any uneven choppage. In any case, I hope she spends a little more time on my hair that the boys, blinked and missed it!
