Product Layering: Gel First or Last

rosscdrosscd Posts: 464Registered Users
I have seen a lot of different routines on 4a and still need some help on product layering. I have seen where some people put Gel on first then moisture/seal...

Then some leave in/seal/gel.

What is your favorite layering method.

I have some GREAT products now; just trying to put it all together now :glasses11:

    4. karkady mist or whipped shea butter (on completely dry hair)

I don't always use a leave-in. However if I do, I use the leave-in first then the gel.

Gel last over leave-in. And I don't have to use as much.

I too do the LI first. Lately I've also been smoothing some BB oil on top of my wet EcoStyler. I don't get any white stuff.

And it appears that my edges, which were breaking due to wearing puffs too often or too tightly, have now grown back in (although I'm still wearing puffs and more than ever). I don't know if the growth is due to the extra moisture from the oil or something else...

Good idea. I wouldn't want gel absorbing freely into my hair. It would probably get too stiff as a result.
