Sunsilk?

in Curly Teens
I've been looking a the hair product section, and it doesn't mention sunsilk products for waves/curls anywhere. I'm not sure if you can buy it in America, but when I got my waist length very straight hair (with a frizz to it) cut to just past my shoulders, I knew it would go probably go curly, as so much weight would be taken off.
Not knowing what was best, I bought the 1st products I saw, which were sunsilk frizz control cream, and the shampoo and conditioner. The 'poo and conditioner weren't all that special, but the frizz cream worked really well, as my wavy 2b/2c hair has a tendancy to frizz on the top layers, and it got rid of most of it.
I have tried loads more products, most of which are far more expensive than the sunsilk one, but none of them have worked aswell. I'm just wondering if anyone else uses this, or if there is something about them that makes them not good for your hair, as they're not talked about much on here. Thankyou for your help!

The shampoo contains sulfates which strip you hair of its natural oils like dishwashing detergent would And the condish contains silicones which coat your hair and can build up w/o using a sulfate shampoo
But if it works for you, thats great.
P.S. I use products with sulfates and silicones too.

It makes my hair super soft and makes my curls more defined
Going CG.
Deva curls.
Just FYI, the creme has 'cones in it as well, so if you are thinking about going CG you'll probably have to find another product.
I do not use products tested on animals.

Now I am trying to avoid it, but if I end up not staying totally CG, I will definitely be going back to it. If you are not interested in going CG, I highly recommend it. I also thought the products gave me smooth hair and the creme gave me a nice piecey look when I straightened (which I don't do any more).
Current Routine:
-Suave Aloe & Waterlily cowash/leave-in
-Giovanni Direct Leave-In
-FOTE aloe vera gel
I'm not CG, by the way. Both cremes contained mineral oil, but Straighten Up contained a lot more than Anti-Poof, so it weighed down my hair. If you are a wavey in search of frizz reduction, stay away from Straighten Up!

Embrace the Frizz!!
I love it, that is the only thing that keeps my hair from frizzing out!!
It was AMAZING.
When I went CG, I was really disappointed to see that it was full of 'cones and was essentially tearing up my hair, even though it made it LOOK good.
If you're fine with using harsh sulphates (the one in the shampoo is one of the harshest on the market), then stick with it. And since your hair is more wavy than curly, then it probably doesn't have the impact on it that it would if your hair was curly, although it'll still have some. You should also keep in mind that frizz IS a sign of damage, though.

(Johnson&Johnson No More Tears Shampoo when need help with build-up), Suave Naturals condish, leave some in, LaBella Gel, then out the door!
You only live once...make it count
i find i actually don't need an anti frizz shampoo, so much as just a shampoo containing alot of moisture.
the key with shampoo is to massage it through through your hair rather than scrub really hard. becasue you will strip your hair of its natural oils.
thats all my advice. oh and the moisture conditioner is great too.
hope i helped
