My wavy boy wants to be a curly...

Hi all, I posted this a coupla days ago in parents board but its real slow over there so no responses yet.

His hair i almost a carbon copy of this guy, only thicker...

but tonight he was trying as hard as he could to scrunch some curl into it, but it wasn't playing the game. What can I do with shorter and less curly hair like this to encourage curls? The front is so straight. I am not used to hair like that.

I should also mention his hair is quite a lot longer that that too, more like shoulder length. He wants a kind of surfer boy look.

But then again, too few to mention...

Does he already do CG stuff? If not, that's certainly where I'd start - the rules are the same for men as for women. But, as with us, you can't make hair curl more than it would naturally - I don't know how one would do that except through artificial means. I'd say start with the routine and see what you can do with that.

tbh he doesn't do any stuff. He hates washing his hair, and rarely bothers, teenagers! He suffers with a very bad scalp condition, as does hubby and my youngest, I don't know what it is, docs have tried all I tried to encourage them all to avoid the sulphates a long time ago, with very little success.

Now that he wants curls, I will suiggest CG again, see what he says:)

How old is he? My DS went from fairly straight to ringlets once he turned 15 and puberty kicked in big time....
